We can beat that easy! Heck, even if the update comes we can make jokes about how the update finally came.

BTW on the fresh crawl I've had none since yesterday morning when it must have covered about every page on my sites. All but one I've seen at has a fresh date of March 3.

for my site, as well as some other tests I have done. Which again gives me more comfort the update for google will be March 3rd Evening.

Through other tests I have done which I will not disclose, I feel ever so confident on the update being March 3rd.

www1, www2 and www3 can all display different results to each other for any given keyword during the entire month.

Check backlinks, it is the most viable way of knowing when the update/dance begins, any thing else is just guessing.

I have no idea if this is true, but another usually credible poster here comment that he had noticed the *directory* PageRank bars in recent months were being updated a few hours before the actual Google Dance. Thus, it might be worthwhile to keep an eye on that. Best way is to choose a rather large directory cat which has many sites listed, and keep a record of the exact order. Almost certainly there will be some change of ranks in such a cat every update.
