What about this:

There are 28 days in February. And 28 months ago (September, 2000) there was no update.

Mere coincidence? I think not. Sorry y'all. No February update.

And, by the same flawless logic, there will be no April or May update, either.

This is going to be a very dark stretch in all of our lives. If anyone needs some psycho-analysis, let me know.

Siggie.

Google has already spent the dollars to crawl and create the index. Not having an update would create negative publicity, so the update will happen soon.

Has anyone jumped out of a window yet?

Seems the reason for the difference in results (which does happen throughout the month as mentioned) is due to the fresh results being propagated through servers (best guess)
With the holiday theme riding high and a huge holiday for alot of people in the world Wednesday :)

Based on the fact I still am seeing fresh tags, I am guessing Wednesday as the earliest also. Well, if so it is Monday now and 2 more days to go. Hang in their folks. ;)

Google have been clinging tight hold of 10-odd pages on one site of mine, it feels like since the beginning of time, even though those pages ceased to exist 2 months ago.
Since then they've just been returning 404.

Just a few minutes ago They seemed to wake up and realise this - listings gone. The replacement files with very different filenames haven't been listed yet though, despite having been visited repeatedly by freshbot for a while.

PR on this site has recently gone through a wild ride of ups and downs but has been stable at 4 since last night.

Makes me wonder if indeed something's afoot. Mind, how many times has that old chestnut been wheeled out over the last 2 weeks :)

I predict the update will happen soon. I notice small changes too, they seem to happen everyday.

Man those mods are good. Merging redundant threads on-the-fly, nice touch. Fat Tuesday dance date?

Nothing happening here. Yahoo backlinks on www2 still 642,000. No changes to my positions

Is this the calm before the storm?

Not think so, looks like update will be end of Mar.

I think it's me you know. It's me staring at this screen that's preventing the update. Maybe it's time I embarked upon that format & restore I've been meaning to do for ages, that usually ends up taking a week to get working properly.

Drives you round the bend doesn't it. Barking Mad!

My prediction has always been the same for this update in other threads, now, yet another, tonight IS the night. Midnight will mark Fat Tuesday, the biggest Mardi Gras party of them all.

Laisez les bon temps rouler!

(or maybe I should say: Laisez les bon listes rouler!)

Alright Ace, where's that update? You said around supper-time, Atlantic. Or did you make a run on Dunkin Doughnuts? Run some more of those black-ops tests. :)

Also in regards to the dunkin doughnuts website...
No pitching in on a bulk basket of doughnuts, they will go stale by time i get to the 150th doughnut.
I want them delivered daily.

AcesHigh,
It's already the 4th in parts of the world... times a running out. You will have to replace the 'A' in your name with 'Fe'.

AcesHigh posted in another thread:

I know the update will start to be seen on the third and will reflect on the third evening 5-7pm Atlantic Time. Ive done some VERY intensive studies and read some things from very good sources i cannot get into detail with.

Hey AcesHigh, am I missing something? Do I need to look for another prophet? I got 8:52 p.m. I'm getting anxious.
