Watch Pots Never Boil!

or at least that is what my mother always told me when I kept waiting for something to happen.

So, I recommend.....

Still trying to figure out what GG meant with typing "Oy, ya'll..." together like that. I'm a southerner & I've never heard that; do Aussie's use "ya'll"?

It is a mathmatical clue to the start time of the update. 0=4 y=2... oh you guys all know anyway. ;)

Sunday 2nd March, looking at the charts for previous updates, its more likely to be on a Sunday and most unlikely to be a Tuesday, must not like Tuesdays at Google.

A number of my high PR pages have fresh dates of 2/26 on them as of this morning. Yet a page I added on 2/24, and linked off of one of the pages showing a fresh date, isn't showing up from freshbot inclusion.

I find this interesting because I've added pages before in this manner, and the freshbot usually includes them right away, even if only for a few days.

BTW, I really love everyone's comments in this silly thread. Its great mental chewing gum. :)

The updates been cancelled because the button got stuck.
They've been hitting it with hammers and rocks and things for about a week but its definately stuck. That's the end of that then.

Mental chewing gum? Didn't Lyndon B. Johnson once say something about Gerald Ford's lacking mental ability to take a walk and chew chewing gum at the same time?

Someone push that button before this community gets a collective mental breakdown.

Btw. I'm from one of the world's leading chewing gum towns.

I'm an Aussie, and I've never heard any Australian use the "word". I have seen it a number of times on quality American programs like Ricki Lake and Jerry Springer. It sounds very peasanty, like using double-negatives.

America is the home of bad grammar, and of unnecessary spelling changes to the English language. :)

It's ya'll, not y'all
8^)
The various forms are:
ya'll
all ya'll
all ya'lls

It's a sutheran thang, much like slippin peanuts in my Coke.
If it don't make any sense, that's ok. After all, I reckon I'll never figure out why folk say "youse guys" 8^)

I wouldn't disrespect the Americans, you'll be arrested and thrown into a South African jail for three weeks, or was that cuba, forever!

Yes sir Pegasus, it is "peasanty", but I never said it was a "word", nor do I use it. However, I must admit it can be quite attractive when it's uttered softly from the peachy lips of a beautiful, sophisticated southern USA red head...ah, hit the button GG, we're losing it!

It's because English doesn't have a second person plural like vous or ihr...so people have come up with y'all and youse. (I put the apostrophe there because I think y'all is short for you all)

obTopic: Push the button! The shiny, CANDY-LIKE button!

AHHH, PLEASE don't push the button, not while I'm under a big DOS attack :(

If I close my eyes, I can pretend it's just googlebot ravaging my site.

It is: y'all, a conjunction for "you all." The apostrophe takes the place of missing letters and spaces.

"If I close my eyes, I can pretend it's just googlebot ravaging my site."

That sounds so creepy. It reminds me of a steamy romance novel. I would like to see the cover.

korkus2000,

It appears to me that some of these fine gentlemen are in need of a lesson in politeness...

And also in the utter folly of attempting to dissuade a lady from decorating in any way which pleases her.

All y'all be nice... :)
