You people are jumping the gun. J3 being visible doesn't mean it's put into full production. J2 could be seen for well over a week before they pulled the trigger. J2 just hit last night. You've got a good week to soak up the love from J2 before J3 crawls into bed.

Jagger 3: The Return of The Rank

Trilogies are starting to catch on, first was the Matrix, then The Lords of the Rings and now Google Jagger Update.

I stopped believing anything G has to say. I'm getting stomach cramps.

From MC's blog last week:

If things stay on the same schedule (which I can’t promise, but I’ll keep you posted if I learn more), Jagger3 might be visible at one data center next week. Folks should have several weeks to give us feedback on Jagger3 as it gradually becomes more visible at more data centers

That doesn't sound like what we are seeing today to me. Granted there are different results on several DC's, but it doesn't fit the rollout that MC described for Jagger3.

Look, I don't want to swear, but:

PLEASE STOP POSTING THE SAME CRAP!

Jagger3 has not started
It will start Friday or the weekend
No-one knows anything more than on Matt Cutts' blog

It's probably won't even start Friday. It might "be seen" Friday which is entirely different than being rolled out to the data centers.

Can't we all argue along?

You can either take the blue pill or the red pill...

Me neither - nor my database

first time Googlebot has crawled for ages and then it does it to fast to bring down my DB :( - busy reloading it - and I need to go out :(

Mr Cutts did mention J3 having more to do with indexing...

All of my sites are seeing almost 2 visits for each page.

Not a good time for your server to be down.

I know!

Stupid Mozilla Googlebot! Probably wont add any pages to the index either - Hmmmmz :( :( :( - If this was any other user agent it would have got banned ages ago.

Dayo,

Maaaaaaannnn that really sucks! In a way I would be surprise if Googlebot would not coe back and double check your site.

But for sure was not the right time for your server to overload :( That would have driven me nuts!

I know :(

Just think - if an automated tool hit Google 20 times a second - what would Google do - ban it.

Slurp is now getting empty database pages :(

216.239.53.99
216.239.57.99
66.102.7.99

whatever these are displaying, it's completely different than anything I've seen in any jagger datacenter, while we're not back, we are in a position where we can get back. Keep in mind that Matt Cutts likes playing with language. When he says 'jagger 3 will be visible' on friday, it means that standard google searches, to google.com, will start getting directed to the jagger 3 test datacenters on friday.

What happens before that is another question. My guess is that reseller is probably right, the movement I'm seeing on these 3 is totally different than anything else I've looked at since we dropped out.

Oh, and for everyone saying they see no changes on those, you do have your google cookies blocked, no? Hopefully nobody here is actually trying to judge google results with google cookies on.

I'd ignore these and any other data centres for the time being.

Actually especially those as they certainly do not look right to me!

On those IPs my website is no1 for a 1.6 million phrase and it's only been live since the 1st of August, so they must be wrong. :)

It's spreading to 216.239.63.104 and 64.233.189.104

I see the RSS feeds back in the SERPs after they disappeared last night. I just can't imagine XML files holding onto #2 positions. Does anyone think that's what an end user wants to find when searching for their favorite widgety widget? I wonder what the deal is with these files.

Those are the results that contain "ancient supplemental pages" going right back to January 2004. Those appeared in the SERPs several months ago. There are other datacentres with them too.

>> they are spreading <<

No. There are at least three different indexes out there.

What difference will cookies make?!

I see the same with or without...

Are you talking about cache related issues?

64.233.189.104

Seems almost like a rollback because spam sites that were removed are back. I'm really gonna miss them when the real update hits.

Folks! you aren´t going to see the final Jagger3 before Friday because we should do some tweaking and other things before we introduce you to Jagger3!

And on that I do agree with Matt. And it was therefore I called the 3 Dcs as Jagger3 Front Troops and not as the final Jagger3 Dcs!

216.239.53.99
216.239.57.99
66.102.7.99

Only problem is when they said we won't see Jagger 3 until at least friday, I think they meant we will not see Jagger 3 until friday.. Not more crazy speculation that has persisted for the last 5 days where people have claimed to see Jagger 3 on 501,234 data centers to-date.

Everyone needs to stop with the wild-haired "seeing of Jagger 3" and wait until Jagger 3 is actually presented.

it has taken me this long to realize that researching and analyzing datacenters is a COMPLETE waste of my time. Reading everybody stating "this is it", "no - this is it". "Here it comes", "no - it hasn't come yet".

Flame away but it is kinda pathetic.

Wake me up when the update is over.

I liked it when we were taking bets on which DCs were showing what will be the closest to the final Jagger 3 results. I have my money on 66.102.11.99. This DC was "visible" in my default G very briefly today and these same results keep briefly popping up in other DCs as well. I'm thinking these results will be "visible" elsewhere and back in my default tomorrow or this weekend. Sites back from the dead are in that DC and previously "sandboxed" sites are also appearing in that DC. Also, it's totally different results than I've seen ever. And I'm not just talking about my sites, but all the top 10s for my niche under a variety of keywords.

I noticed that if you search for Matt Cutts on Google he's dropped a spot in the SERPs.
