I'm not a DC/updates expert but the 3 DCs that Reseller has named the front troops of Jagger3 look very much (for the keywords that I follow)like old results:

1. A couple of spammy sites ranking high pre Jagger 1 and which then disappeared have come back to the same positions

For me it makes no difference whatsoever, so I'd like to believe Reseller and remove uncertainties but still believe that Jagger3 will not be tose 3 DCs

BTW I've already bought the "I survived Jagger 1 & 2" and look forward to completing my collection...

Lee_sufc, I hope they stick for you but I also hope they change for me.

We will find out tomorrow when, as GG and Matt says, Jagger 3 will hit us (...probably).

Jagger 3 may take some more time to show up:

Posted today, Thursday 3 nov by Matt Cutts:

Just to keep people up-to-date, Jagger3 is not visible yet. Last week I said that Jagger3 would hopefully be visible this week. It’s possible that it might be visible by Friday or this weekend. I’ll let you know when I’ve got more info.

I'm liking those results Reseller, the first time I've seen one of my websites in the top 10 since Florida for it's main KW. The rest of the top 10 are looking good as well.

for all it's worth: major crawl right now. Maybe need the fresh data for #3?

For most of the pages though GB is only getting the zipped file, and from my exp. that will not end up in cache. Maybe google still uses it to analyze and stuff.

Ok. Here is more food for the thought!

Matt wrote this morning:

"Just to keep people up-to-date, Jagger3 is not visible yet. Last week I said that Jagger3 would hopefully be visible this week. It’s possible that it might be visible by Friday or this weekend."

As you see, Matt is not saying that Jagger3 hasn´t started yet. He is just talking about be visible!

I.e what Matt is trying to say is:

Folks! you aren´t going to see the final Jagger3 before Friday because we should do some tweaking and other things before we introduce you to Jagger3!

And on that I do agree with Matt. And it was therefore I called the 3 Dcs as Jagger3 Front Troops and not as the final Jagger3 Dcs!

And I'm going to bed, but Jagger3 probably won't start before Friday at the earliest. Just wanted to make sure people heard..

How much clearer do you want GG to make it? :)

I notice that some datcenters do not quote a "date" field after "cached" in the SERP's.

What is the significance of that?

Jagger3 coming along - I took that to mean the behind the scenes work is looking good.

If he says we can't see it, that to me means it isn't on any production servers.

And I'm guessing there will be lots of dials being turned as it shows up on production servers.

I can't wait to see how long THOSE threads are going to be. I wonder who will be the first to say how dare google make changes before the holidays?

Awoke this morning to see some Google traffic to a site that has not had any Google tfarric to speak of in a long time.

Some pages missing since Bourbon now restored in top 10 results in a few of the databases when I use the tools that show me 10 locations at once, for example, one of my pages will be present in like 3 out of 10.

I don't want to get too excited tho....

Another odd thing, using the multi database checker tools, I see another site that had risen last week to a number 2 spot has dropped to 5, but above it are 3 listings from the same site, all different internal pages--same URL. So there is surely a lot of tweeking left to be done.

Not sure what it means that I have mozillabot and mediabot hitting me from the same IP address - been noticing this a while now actually. Not sure what ot make of it - haven't seen any comments on it either.

Do you think we may be reading into GG comments a little too much?

Here's what I think is strange:
- A small number of DCs show radically different results
- Suddenly these results vanish and a number of DC's "crash"
- Jagger3 is now delayed slightly

My default Google is giving me results with foreign characters instead of English. Someone must be being crazy with the dials.

It means you're spending too much time spilling beans.

Over the last several weeks I noticed that I was receiving Google traffic to my site on some fairly obscure terms. Search terms that 1 word in a 3 word search were on a page however the results would not have given the visitor what they wanted as the other 2 words forming the search had nothing to do with the pages topic.

However yesterday I noticed a change when I was going through the logs and examining the search terms used to find various topics on my pages. I found that every 2 - 3 word search resulted in the exact topic and page the site was designed to be about. Giving the surfer exactly what they searched for.....As a search engine should do :-)

Anyone else noticing anything similiar?

I have noticed something similar. A few days ago i was getting hits from long searches, say 7 or 8 words where only 1 word was actually on my page. Currently the hits i receive seem much more targeted, although still somewhat vague.

Wouldn't it be funny if Google just disappeared... eaten away from the inside by an algo gone crazy? Mad? The engineers lost control and it is now spreading to Yahoo and MSN. Nothing left but a bunch of sites linked and interlinked to thousands of other sites. The only way to surf would be like a map. You have to start at one place and find your way through to your destination.

Mmmmm... maybe that is what's happening?

OOOOPS! There goes another DC. Better start bookmarking while you can!

>>>What is the significance of that?<<<

I have no idea. But, I do have extremely important information to convey.

This morning, my dog exited the back door and instead of turning to the left as he usually does, he turned to the right and took a dump on the right side of lawn.

Now, this is strange enough as it is. But, what intruiges me is that just before I let the dog out, it was sitting on my lap and looking at the google SERPS along with me.

So, let it now be known that I am predicting a shift from left-potically-winged sites ranking well to right wing sites ruling the day. Yes, Republican sites will do very well with Jagger!

Oh, yesh, and I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!

YES! I'm currently designing a website in which I will sell his services of predicting Google Updates!

If I can get it up by days end, I think I'm going to be rich by tomorrow!
