The same down-and-on problem here in Turkey.
But j3 goes on and off. No steady results. At least three different sets:

216.239.63.104 (I think with additional tweaks)
64.233.161.104 (still J2)
64.233.179.104 (J3)

That's what it always ends up becoming, people report competitors, complain about their own rankings etc.
Google is not in the business of pleasing us, but their visitors. If you don't like not being ranked, watch the sites that are and learn :)

>>>>>>>>...Yes it has been reported that the results of the test DC have migrated to some other DCs.

Think you like current jagger 3 results reseller, There are no new results in the test DC as of now, it has been like this for the past 2 to 3 days, the test data which became live before 3 days was taken down within a day, You are simply seeing another jagger 3 DC now,

Good morning

You mightbe right.

However, one of the benefits of drinking a warm cup of Cappuccino each morning is that you see changes on the test DC more clear :-)

There is a very clear backlink update on the test DC [64.233.179.104...] which you don't see on most of the rest DCs!

My backlinks on this DC have reverted to what they were before the last BL export. Exactly the same. What does that mean?

64.233.179.104

There seem to be a small group of 64.* DC's that have wound back on BL and PR, to pre Jagger.

However, the SERP's on them include some post Jagger results, as keywords that were non existent for my site pre Jagger, are showing on these DC's.

I see the same thing.

64.233.171.104
64.233.171.105
64.233.171.147
Those 4v DC's showing BL before the new BL update.Few pages back at [webmasterworld.com...] msg#539 they where at 15 DC's.today are again those 4.I guess Google is testing and testing. After the testing will be over Jagger and Google index will be absolutely different.I bet on that ,why, what is the reason of all those tests?

If you ask Inigo, he will for sure say something general like; Improve the search quality!

But there are more reasons than that, IMO. I guess that they are trying to resolve issues that Jagger update hasn't resolved. For example the canonical issue, supplemetals issue, 301/302 etc..

And of course thats by itself very encouraging indeed, if proved to be successful.

Sure. The index will be much "cleaner" and more relevant in seraches, as more relevant sites (which are not ranking because cannonical & supplementals issues for example) will show up again in the serps.

I.e as I mentioned in a previous post; webmasters win... Google wins.

Nobody really knows if the J3 Update is complete. Google is silent. They may have a mess on their hands or they may be happy with what they have.

As it stands now, there are very many webmasters very happy with the current serps. As far as they are concerned, they are clean.

Good morning Folks

Monday is always a good day to study the DCs and see whether your site is still there or just took a hit while you were out shopping for X-Mas :-)

As I see it, that famous Test-DC is still there. Can't figure out whats going on at that DC.

Maybe GoogleGuy or Matt shall update us within this week.

Lets hope so.

Wish you all the best rankings at the top of Google serps ;-)

Mike

I agree. Spend the day watching DC's while others run their businesses. If you do not, the sky might fall on you.

Or run a business and stop this immature dither and fall on the sky.

It reminds me to people who check their adsense stats every 5 minutes. I don't get it, what's the point? :)

Rumour has it that Brett has deployed a ranking system for new users on update threads. Something like Google's PageRank. The number of posts reflects the "added value" of posts not the number of them :-)

So who determines value and how?

MikeDammann

>>So who determines value and how?<<

Its the algos which determine that. Something like:

Value added = posativity blended perfectly and equally with contents :-)

Noooo movement in my sectors. Quite frustrating. My site is stuck between being banned and back again. Some serps work very well others are still hidden.

I started to build new sites. And they show up first time this morning with their start pages in Google. Hope they will make it.

One thing I've learned: Do not concentrate on one site. (I think we heard that as "Never lay all your eggs in one basket".)

Have a nice week everyone.

Good morning folks.I don't know if that make a sense but looking my Monday logs (very early though)I can see a traffic equally devited to MSN YAHOO GOOGLE each 33,3%....... .Does that probably means that users changing habbits?
PS My site covers a very universal subject .

Shouldn't you and I be in minus figures then ;)

I very much get the impression that is what has happened too.

Lol - correct if you are a chicken. For us who dont lay eggs it is keeping or putting all your eggs in one basket.

Why not build one good basket and make sure you don't drop it ;)
