Good morning!
I haven't noticed any difference in a check on 20 keywords or so, apart from a few moves up or down 2 or 3 places, in 12 days now. That is, apart from a new keyword I added to the title and content 12 days ago, and that has climbed dramatically.
However, as of yesterday lunchtime [UK time] page views on my main site have increased dramatically, in fact by about 700%!
I was concerned this may be temporary, but on getting up this morning, the viewing figures continue to be excellent.
For me, the update so far has been incredible, and as I am speaking personally, it's not all doom and gloom, as I am very happy with the results to date.
I am not sure that the UK index has been updated yet, as they said Europe would follow after the main index update.

Eazygoin...

maybe the changes are mainly due to the ammendments I made to my site then? Saying that, sites around me have moved up / down little bit.

If there are still changes to come then lets hope things don't go back downhill for me!

Eazy: great. I hope it will last.

I see the update spreading over more DCs. However my local Google does not seem to be affected yet.

Great to see some movement.

We are sitting here with fingers crossed, but at the end of the day, Google is THE best index around, and I just hope it comes right for all the guys on here.

I didn't change anything, apart fromadding one keyword to the title and content. However, my site has no canonical issue, no keyword stuffing, no duplicate content, and is very spider friendly. Also, every URL on the site is distinct.

>>I don't know if this helps, but the changes I have made in the past week are:
1) Changed META descriptions so they don't repeat on every page as much
2) Reduced META keywords on every page
3) Changed all page titles so I don't repeat my company's slogan on every page
4) Implemented a 301 redirect
5) Tidied up my links and removed any dead links
6) Found a couple of sites who were copying my content and asked them to remove it (which they did)
7) Re-designed my website footer so i didn't repeat certain words. ie, I design things so the footer had "blue widget design", "red widget design" etc etc - so every page had "widget design" showing a lot at the bottom <<

Thanks for sharing!

Would you be kind to post the same on this thread where we are trying to gather as many tips as possible. Thanks.

I'm hitting the UK from 216.239.59.104 and seeing some small improvements still a long way to go before the drop of J3

.co.uk has been showing [66.102.9.104...] for a week or so for me....

Noticing that Googlebot is starting to crawl a bit more - both Mozilla and Normal.

Still does not want to take my main sites homepage.....

My UK DC is currently 66.249.93.104 and has been for the last few days. This shows an odd combo of J3 data mixed with older J2 and has little correlation with the "pure" J3 DC of 66.102.9.104.

Significant adjustments yesterday across a wide range of DCs in my sector

They are not all the same at all, I saw a few glitches here and there except for the following:

66.102.7.104
66.102.9.104
66.102.9.99
66.102.11.99

...which I assume to be j3 rolled out, they are more consistent (and no glitch on keywords I check) IMO

We saw some movement this morning at about 945 am and we are now getting updated results from: 216.239.59.104

Depens on the keywords you check .The best way to spot it is if you had a website that was hit in the past , check few key words of that site if they have moved upwards or downwards.

That's what I'm doing zikos, have my personal list of keywords and sites that I monitor through changes for a long time now. Some were hit, some not, some where wiped out apparently for no obvious reason....I watch! :)

I may be totally wrong though only Google knows..

"updated results from: 216.239.59.104 "
like I said before 216.239.59.104 added today .

I just revised half of my checking list and I keep my opinion on:

66.102.7.104
66.102.9.104
66.102.9.99
66.102.11.99

I think that the rest is just the flux while implementing the non-supplemental fix, not final SERP.

I think your analysis is bang on :-)

I don't follow the DC's like some guys on here, as I don't have the time, but on looking at your chosen DC's, the results look quite stable, apart from small changes.

My keywords are in exactly the same place on all 4, although they have been like that for 12 days, give or take minor movement.

My home page has reverted to a 9th Nov cache - anyone else seeing this kind of thing?
(site was spidered yesterday and fresh page was showing for a while and the page had been cached twice between 9th and 16th).

Miop - yes I have just noticed that.

This morning, the results were good for me and the cache data was new, now the results are back to how they were yesterday and it showing my site prior to me making any changes.

strange....

Thanks - I've had to do a major redirect and was worried that I'd ballsed things up. :)
