I agree with brokenbricks that Jagger 3 is not here yet. Matt's post was from very early this morning - about 14 hours ago, and I have a hunch he'll update us when Jagger 3 is rolling.

If it hasn't started then it appears to me to have reverted back to some form of Jagger1 as our site jumped from page 3 to 1.

It looks like today's little everflux has eliminated that horrible non-authority result set that was on 66.102.11.104 a couple days ago. Jagger2 might finally be settling, so we can get one datacenter fired up for Jagger3.

Matt Cutts: I have a fairly good idea which datacentre Jagger3 might appear first...

Hmm, I'm wondering if it will turn up on the IPs of the datacentre formerly known as www-in.google.com, maybe there was a clue from "Inigo" the other day.

What was Andre the Giant's name in that movie? Did you know Andre the giant once drank 108 beers in one sitting. I'm at beer 6 waiting for Jagger 3. Think it'll get here before 108?

Well this update has made a big difference in a very "generic" type of key phrase we use along the same lines of "general widget widgets".

It seen the front page of my site climb to no.4 under the "trusted" official site and one of the larger competitiors. Over the past 2 months ive been messing around with the whole google sitmap thing and re-doing everything at the top end of the pages, the meta tags, the page title, redoing H1 and H3 headers and basically going through what Brett said in the 26 step guide he made a long, long time ago.

So far, with this update anyway, there has been a fair climb at least back into the top 10 for a lot of the major pages for me. Not bad for a site which closed down, was written off in the google search results and has recently reopened under a new domain name in the past 3 months.

I've also noticed a lot of the old trusted sites which havent been changed in a couple of years have been dropped down to page 3, and a lot of new sites have moved up to take there place.

[72.14.203.104...]

There is a very different number of results for my brand domain search, 3,710, while on other datacenters about 2,500.

Jagger3?

Andre was "Fezzik". As far as this update:

"Life is pain highness, anyone who says differently is selling something."

72.14.203.104 are old pre-jagger results. one of my sites doesn't come up in results due to the new domain penality. it has since been released since jagger1.

i think there'll be fairly drastic changes with jagger3, especially if the canonical url issues are resolved. a lot of sites that suffered from canonical url problems will end up being a lot stronger, so i'm expecting to see new sites on the first pages. sadly i'm fairly certain none of my sites have any such problems, so hopefully it doesn't knock me back too far!

so far i'm really liking jagger2b (66.102.9.104). i hope it gets even better!

edit: ohh well, seems the jagger2b results are now gone as well. it was on a couple datacenters, it all seems to be reverting back to a combo of jagger2 and jagger1.

For me 72.14.203.104 shows jagger1 results nothing more. based on 50 different queries.

I'd like to know your definition of 'canonical url issues' and why do/did these sites suffer from them? what specifically do you expect jagger3 to change?

yes...72, etc. gives me pre-jagger results.

I'm again picking up hits from offshore google searches now.

Still waiting to see if the filters blocking my US searches from reaching my site are to be lifted.

This datacenter is giving me different results than I have been seeing for all sorts of queries:

I think that you got (64.233.161.104) the most updated one.

It's just become my default Google (64.233.187.99) now. Definately liking these results. Some of the blogs that were dominating some results have been rolled into one which has propelled me up in some cases. There were some XML and RSS feeds in the results yesterday and earlier today but at this datacenter they are gone.

A few posters have mentioned the diversity of sites coming up for some searches- a retailer, an amazon page, a wikipage, a goverment page, an education page...

I wonder if some sort of "similar content" filter (as opposed to a "duplicate content" filter) has been turned up a notch?

Now it's at 66.102.11.99

I get varying numbers on my site on all DC's and there are MINIMUM three different versions out there. :\

Perhaps, but these (66.102.11.99) are new and some of the tastiest I've seen yet. More garbage is gone or demoted and my traffic is spiking on several sites. I can't put money on this horse yet but I'd sure like to see this one in the winner's circle.

As people continually and without exhaustation point to datacenter after datacenter saying they see jaggerx here or not there.. even when we don't know if it is even accessible at this point.. I have one question...

Are we going to remember the 5 million wrong predictions people made in these threads where they speculated on datacenters and results and were wrong? Or will we just bask in the glory of the person who made the first correct wild-arsed guess that stuck? Just curious. :)

I'm not predicting anything. I do see results I like right now. They may be gone in an hour but why not dance around in your underwear and revel in the moment?

some datacenters are reporting new domains being placed under some keywords that we optimized for.. of course there not showing for all of there search terms, only about 1 or 2.
could be a slight adjustment in allowing newer sites to rank (which i think google needs to do)
or there just getting up our hopes, which is more than likely the case.
but we'll probably know within a week or so the outcome.

I promise not to bask in the glory. I just want whoever is controlling whichever dial is making my site drop 8 pages to leave it alone when I'm up.

I must be right on the edge of some penalty because I'm constantly moving from page 2-3 to page 10-11 on any given DC. Never anything in between. Either one of the other. I'm running out of scotch far too often!
