Hi Folks
Rumor has it... that Google WebSpam Team has asked for more time to deal with the spam reports which they have recieved from WebmasterWorld fellow members. So the head of Google Search Quality Team has just agreed to keep Jagger2 running to late Friday.
Therefore, we see Matt "Inigo" Cutts very happy this morning going around at his homeoffice shouting:
Mmmm. Spam-y goodness ;-)

I wish I could access those DCs again to see what has changed. OK confirmation it is not Jagger3 from MC - but something has definetly been changed on those DCs.

Good morning (a bit late today - playing Civ IV too long last night).
See a lot of timeouts too. Cannot open Adsense and many DCs.
Ok, Google. Time to roll back to Feb, 1st. And don't move again!

I think my site was dropping so fast that when it finally hit the ground it broke stuff at the DCs.

OT Post: Civ IV worth buying if you have CIVIII?
Back on topic, The dcs being slow or down might just be so Google can spread Jagger2 out to the rest of the DCs quicker.

>Matt confirmed Jagger 3 not visable yet
Yes. BUT for those of us who have not seen their sites for 10 days these new results are very encouraging. I can see they are not complete, with many site pages missing, but a few questions have now been answered. I could not understand how we ranked for title tag only on Jagger1&2 and because of that those results could never have stuck. We are now getting rankings for on page body text, and appearing for long search strings where we had good rankings before.

Pure Public Relations - Turn a potential problem (they failed to keep the Wednesday forecast) into a flattering positive.

Lol - I guess that Reseller was the originator of that rumour :) - also it was not really promised for Wednesday to be fair.
Adsense and Adwords down too BTW.

Gah, feels like half the web is down because of all the servers that make use of Google servers...

I really think that if you can make it on these 3 Dcs today, you can make it on Jagger3 on Friday.
First they shall push Jagger3 on all 3 Dcs or one of them to start with, then tweak..tweak..tweak, and once they like what they see... then they will tell us to look at Jagger3 there!

Got a 502 from Google.com when trying to open Adsense.
OT: Dayo - more complex, far better UI, still as much fun as before. Gotta buy a new notebook - my 900MHz-Celeron is far too slow for CivIV.

All the results look tip top to me.
Can anyone remember so many DC's going down in the past during an update?

This is def Jagger 3 on those dcs, its the first results where sites are coming back.

They all timeout for me at this moment in time.
Can you access any of them reseller?

No. But its therefore I think that they are switching over Jagger3 on each of them, or one of them now.
See what Matt wrote:
"In this instance, Jagger1 was the sort of thing that we could launch at all data centers quickly, but Jagger2 and Jagger3 require switching over each data center individually."

But Reseller - I know you read what MC said on his blog :) - Friday at the earliest it now seems.
Perhaps there was a couple of bits of Jagger3 that they were prepared to push live - but even those DCs we know are unlikely to be the final version.

Sorry - but why does this happen?
We get feedback from a Senior Google Engineer saying Jagger3 is not visible yet and it might be visible by the weekend and then people seem to think that it is all over.

That DC timesout for me ;) (In case people dont realize - that was a joke:))

The DCs I am seeing offline appear to be the ones where Jagger2 was only partially finished. My guess is they have been pulled to speed up the process. It also appears a majority of the 64 DCs are showing partial Jagger2 results, but are not fully populated with the new algo yet -- maybe they are next.

Good morning!
Just checked mcdar and for me, there are a lfew DCs that are now showing brilliant results for me and my industry. An example of one is [64.233.189.104...] - does anyone else agree?
Lots of keywords that I had vanished from are now back - not as good as they were pre Jagger but I'd be more than happy with them!

I like 216.239.57.99 - the results on here look a lot like pre-jagger for my industry. If this is the start of jagger 3 then it looks a step in the right direction - less spam, less old listings, less ebay.....

Yup, that one is good for me.
The search for a specific modem that I posted earlier (pulled by Tedster, Tsk Tsk) now shows my site higher than before, and much spam removed.
DC results are still spotty; some timing out, others making it, but slowly.
