reseller, Jagger3 ended up having less emphasis on canonicals. I plan to make that a theme in my feedback to people at work though.

AlexK, that's a different domain. But the point is very well taken. You've found a pretty obscure query (~295 results) that the keyword stuffing spammers like to target. I'll check this out in more detail.

I was not online for 6 hours 1/2 and already I'm totally lost, is there a weather report?

Googleguy - Fresh news please :)

Fairly naive

Why do you always have to resort to personal insults, when i am talking about Google? :) Why don't you see my posts more analytically and with a pinch of salt, instead of feeling always personally insulted?

Fairly naive to think that all the top webmasters from 2010 already run big sites in 2005 is it not?

If that is your assessment be happy and smile. :)

Let us rephrase this.
aeiouy: Ankhenaton you might be wrong here. Because ...

Ankhenaton: Maybe you are right.. ;) Let's see. :)

Weather report: one DC, 66.102.9.104, changed a little for a few hours today, and spread to a hand full of other DCs, but everything is back to "normal" now.

The weather is currently calm and stable.

<edit-well, maybe a slight breeze...>

Seeing some of the 104 datacenters going off line, something up?
216.239.59.104
66.102.11.104
66.102.9.104

Back to watching
WW_Watcher

Edited to add, also seeing some flux with pages from my site on most of the rest of the datacenters, but I do not know if it is from Jagger, or modifications I made to my site.

Anyone? Anyone, Bueller? Bueller?

I was still getting the 9 until about 4 minutes ago, nothing changed. But it's down for me now as well.

All datacenters at the same time?
I can think of 3 possible reasons: 1. Terrorist attack at some major peer (other peers are gonna get the missing peer load) 2. Akamai screw something up :-) 3. Google AI has been unleashed out of the lab. AI is taking over. Delete your toolbars.

btw. I did a traceroute to 66.102.11.104. It seems, for me, everything goes down after:
de-cix.net.google.com (80.81.192.108), next hop 216.239.46.47.

This is what happened with J2 and I thought that GG sort of implied that this would happen to make the transition to a new Google.

Noticing a beautiful algo deployed on:

66.102.11.104
66.102.9.104
66.102.11.99
66.102.9.99

Seems to be a very clean index, looking good!

From what I see that's close to a hurricane, no more breeze whatsoever.
Wait and see.

Googleguy would appear soon IMO.

EDIT: just noticed a few funny glitches lol, no big deal but rather funny, need some tweaking still

If jagger update is the downtime reason, why aren't ads showing? Loosing a lot of money.... not to mention page loading times (timeouts).

I am showing also a recovery on these new dcs listed above, how is everyone else on these dc's?

Great_9 most changes are seen on test DC.

End users are delivered regular SERP so ads obviously appear and no one looses money...not Google at least ;-)

I see them now. First serp I checked was for my new site, it's listed #1 for it's phrase, definitely a new index. How did they do that so fast?

<another edit- now they are gone for me again---guess it's bed time>

I checked these results on the weekend, and we all started screaming J3, then they withdrew them sunday/monday, now back :)

followgreg, maybe I wasn't clear. I __still__ can't access pageads (adsense ads) or __any__ datacenter or test datacenter. I tried 10 IP addresses so far...

After giving up, I unconsciously did a search. It opened. whoahhh. Now it's up and down, up and down...

kimkia,
thank you for your answer - helpful indeed. while I have lost most on Sept 22nd, no recovery in sight just yet. I will have to wait all of this out before asking further questions - but - just the fact that anyone is back is from that date is encouraging....

thank you again...cheers, dn

Good morning Folks

My local time 6.50 am (GMT+1), and I can't access the DCs. And even my default google.com (IP 64.233.161.147) is very slow in downloading. And AdSense spots aren't dowloading too.

The Nasty Dog Ate Google.com, The Dcs and AdSense this morning (:(

I see all the DC's now, in my field, I clearly see a blend from the early J3 on .9 and the results on .7 from the weekend but the blend seems towards the .7 side ( I did not show up much in .9 then and I am good to go but somewhat reduced in .9 and other DC's now
