The results look really good.. hopefully this will reflect across all the datacenters soon. Seems like the spammier sites I compete against have moved down while the good honest pages have moved up.
No. It;s just a search in directory is nothing like it used to be. It seems to be the same as the main Google search now.
Very strange.
>> so most data should be incorporated within 3-4 days I would guess <<
I wouldn't depend on significant changes. I think the changes here (falling key term index pages at the expense of big site inner pages) are more fundamental.
I would hazard a guess that this is a major change but I don't think we can see more than a hazy outline of the final results right now.
I think I'll go anethesize myself and try to sleep through the next couple of days, otherwise I'll sit here all day and night trying to figure out Googles next move andwhat GGs cryptic comments mean. :-)
On my end, the Google directory has now reverted back to the old data from last April. At least three sites I know of in my relevant category that are goners as of this morning are not in the Google directory as of today (but did finally show up two weeks ago when the Google directory *seemed* to finally update.) A possible connection here?

All black hat all 1 thru 6.
My site is gone... I had 100 pages of original content and articles. I just got off phone yesterday with a major magazine that called and did a phone interview with me about my site and asking to use content in their next article.
Kinda hard to remain positive and not Black Hat when you play by the rules bust your butt and end up losing. Can anyone explain how spam and these people are 1 thru 6? Google guy are you out there?
canuck: In several SERPs I show up in the top-10 for allinanchor / allintext / allintitle, yet am nowhere to be found in the top 250+ results.
skipfactor: Bingo, bet it's the index & it's less than a year old. Oh well, Google fixed it before, they'll fix it again.
It is the index page, but the site is 2-3 years old... I'll worry in 2-3 days if the index page doesn't make a showing by then.
Must sleep and fight the urge to hit refresh-refresh-refresh...!
I would love to get my index page back where it belongs, and when I do, I am going to kick some *ss!

Only Google and Time can tell. I doubt Google will.
(Google Guy want to prove me wrong and tell us?) So we can only wait for time.
BUT I doubt we're back to monthly updates. Google probably has implemented a new item that required a 'ground up' approach and then we'll be back to constant updates until the next item that requires a 'ground up' to get started.
