Not here. From what I remember there are 5 data centres which update one by one.

According to e-factory, www-ex.google.com is already updated. That must be yours

I see WWW, 2 & 3 as not at all alike. So I have to disagree that the update is done. I do remember a couple months ago that the dance was very short. But for several months it has been the typical 5 day thing. I'm expecting the same this time around.

I checked 1 of my major keywords on www.2/3 and I was #3 only topped by 2 SERP`s of.....lycos.com!.Anyone noticed this before?...is LycosGuy watching this forum?

Confused as to why a site using hidden text and other spam methods is STILL ranking #1 for a catch phrase.. It has been reported by several folks to Google months ago. Obviously they dont check their mail very often!

I'm in CA and I've had same results across all three for extensive searching for about 6 hours now. I must be hitting ex exclusively somehow.

The fresh tags for my site from dec 31 are on www.google.everything now.

Diggle, this update stuff makes a difference for me... I'm not making any money on my site but it's helping me to at least break even doing what I love. My life is often very exciting and Google is helping me to keep it that way.

All those backlinks that went out are back in this time... the principal site in my subject area went from 1810 backlinks, to 1218 last month and are now at 1810 again. I think mine are also almost exactly the same as October's update, although new ones I got are showing.

Also, my main term search results appear to have reverted to exactly what they were after the October update.

What is the opposite of deja vu?

One bottom line, this update goes back to favoring bigger sites with mucho internal links.

So far, I "think" one minor site moved from a PR5 to a PR6, but it's not one that I pay a lot of attention to, so it may have already been a PR6. I haven't seen anything that has changed appreciably. The site that I've following most has retained its #2 position in the SERPs, but the #3 site has changed, finally replacing a site that had been removed from Geocities four months ago. Nothing remarkable yet; of course, it's probably not done with us.

As it happens, you would not believe it but there are hundreds and hundreds of miles of caves and potholes under where I live. Sadly, people lose their lives regularly here.

Amid all the excitment of a google dance, is there anything to be learned from movement during the dance - ie movement within the dance, rather than the net movement before-after that obviously indicates changes to the alogrythme?

For example last month a site I manage was No. 1 (&2) for a major key-phrase until about the last day of the dance, then it dropped to number 2 (&3). So far in this dance the site is at No. 1 (&2).

I think I read a suggestion that perhaps pagerank was only factored in at the end. That might be an explanation for my ranking movement during the last dance - my site has PR5, and the keyphrase features prominantly, the 'competing' site has PR6 and the keyphrase doesnt feature as an exact phrase.
