Continued from Part 1: [webmasterworld.com...]

Thanks to google for letting us peek into there database( they could very easy close that door to us)and a thanks to googleguy for "DONATING" his time to answer question(that he don't have to) and for keeping thing here (somewhat) calm. Also, thanks to all that work so hard to keep this forum going strong(I for one don't know how I would get along without it:). I could go on and on but, thats all I will say. Later.

teeceo.

Thanks for the feedback GG. I must admit that usually I just lurk around and don't post a lot but this -sj index has me on pins and needles. Your response helped (I think) :)

With www-sj sometimes directed through DNS to provide the www.google results, Google may appear to be dancing some of the time. This is not the real "Google Dance"... the big update. It is a partial update / new algorithm implementation, using older results.

hmmm, I always thought the way to tell if the TRUE update is starting is by comparing Yahoo backlinks!

I promise you they are not all showing the same for me...

www - 384,000
www2 - 661,000
www3 - 661,000

Swampy Webber,

yes, I've got dynamic pages with more than one variable in -sj. You may see it here:

[www-sj.google.com...]

And as you can see on the following page, my pages were crawled on April 22 at about 6 AM (German time) because the link "Weiter: Das Programm morgen" show a link to April 22 and the first time shown up is 6 AM:

[216.239.35.100...]

Hope this helps,
Martin.

SJ is terrible and it's bordering on embarrassing that are these are the new results. Yeah, maybe in a few weeks Google will add some backlinks but the fact is
that the database is old and weak.

At first I was dissatisfied with the results of sj,
but now I must admit that they are very good. The guestbook filter works really fine! I was able to get a Nr.2 Position on a very important keyword. Before SJ Nr.1 & 2 were occupied by 2 guestbook spammers with 1500+ Guestbook Backlinks. I hope they will not come up again during the update.
Big praise for the new algo and for GG who answers all our questions patiently :)

BTW, are we gonna call this an update or just a differen index since update implies up to date?

I hope they are still adding sites as I have two sites that have suddenly dissappeared from the sj results (and not freshbot site or banned) :(

While I did gain some nice new positions, I am seeing lots of SPAMMY results in SJ...

If I do a search on -sj for "mywidgets.com" I see all of the links that I should be getting. Hopefully these will be the links soon added as GG has mentioned?

Right now on -sj link:http//wwWebmasterWorldidgets.com only shows 7 links that are several months old.

It sounds like this could be an on off month for most of here at WW with our Google serps.
Those of us that are able to rise to challenge of this new algo will be atop once again in the near future.

Its time put on our thinking caps again.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes Google.

BTW, are we gonna call this an update or just a differen index since update implies up to date?

Outdate? Olddate? Downdate?

I've come through it ok but one page, good, pertinent, was #3 on the targetted search. Now, totally gone... not in the top 100 anyway tho it shows in the backlinks for the main page. The one gone missing is #2 in Ink, top 5 or so with Fast... If that one can disappear, with no tricks used on any of the pages, what about the others?

Lets hope it eventually improves.
