I'm seeing multiple backlinks from one site, but they're scattered through out the results instead of being clustered. Over all my backlinks are down for the second month in a row even though we have added new links.

She is dancing. Results will take a little time (a couple of days) to joggle amongst databases and ultimately settle but make no mistake about it.. she sits on -ex right now.
Looked at you cached pages in -ex to confirm this is new.
It didn't seem to crawl some other sites of mine that really should have been crawled.
I have been waiting for this and not done anything tricky... losing hope in my ability as a businessman... going to break down and find another career... aaahh!
Not the greatest results in the world, but considering that I stumbled across WW literally about halfway through the last deep crawl, I'm pretty happy with them. Thanks to everybody out there for your help, and good luck to everyone else.

Our cached page on google-ex is actually several weeks old.
Simply put, I checked ex.google.com and I am #5 for two keyword phrases that I have been working for. I've been #56 and #39 for the same keyword phrases in Google proper, www2 and www3. What do the results in ex.google.com mean for me?

from Google GuyI should be nearby over the next few days. While people are around, let me mention a few things. Several people should see the results of reinclusion requests with the new index. Before a new crawl starts is also the best time to send a reinclusion request (email to webmaster@google.com with the subject line "reinclusion request" and explain how you've cleaned up the site). I don't know when a new crawl will start, but better to be early than late with a reinclusion request.
Last thing I wanted to mention: I'd appreciate any spam reports of pages with hidden text or hidden links over the next couple weeks. If you've already submitted a report on a page, you don't need to re-submit it though. Thanks everyone..

C:\Windows\hosts.sam is a sample file. Your customized file should just be named "hosts"
The contents of the hosts file should be:
127.0.0.1 localhost
216.239.33.100 toolbarqueries.google.com

Any ideas on that? Maybe Google is just having problems with that data center.
i noted that too earlier in the thread. i'm seeing the first couple of results in the serps to have incorrect caches; the ones after those are ok
