Saturdays are usually lousy earning days for me but today's the worst Saturday since Panda 1.0 hit a year ago. Lower than avg CTR, miserable CPC.
I launched a new post today about watches and the ads are for toilet partitions, Halloween supplies and Christian dating. Are there no ads for watches available? Is it too much to ask that Google attempt to match ads to the page content? Because, like, if I was reading an article about watches, and ads for watches or related items were showing, I think I'd be tempted to click on them. Toilet partitions, not so much.
GOOGLE tricks is divide people, some will get their lowest earning & some will get that same day highest earnings but overall we are all losers, "LOSERS & LOSERS & LOSERS", compare the earnings from previous year you will know Greedy Google is taking your money.
Yesterday was my worst Saturday in years. Something has definitely changed. On average I add two to three pages of new content daily, and my stats are constant, so what's up? I just wish Google could be a little more upfront about any changes they make so that we don't have to go around whispering to each other.
The cruelty of Adsense is upon me. Just logged in. Not a good number of clicks, but CPC extremely high. I don't trust it for a second. Before six weeks ago, when the CPC rose like that it stayed, but now Adsense just raises it from time to time, then reduces it again an hour or so later. Very frustrating.
Sorry to hear it. It's almost flu like, this AdSense bug that seems to be going around. Some people get it, some don't. For those that do succumb, some get very very sick, some even die. I'm in the AdSense ICU, in case anybody wants to visit or bring me flowers.
Zarathustra - The situation you describe is bizarre. Google has tried to explain this phenomenon (smart pricing?), but I'm still confused by how that works. I've gone on my account to see incredible RPM, only to have it taken away minutes later. Reporting is normally delayed by a few hours, but I'm wondering if Google occasionally allows for a real-time glimpse at the stats.
At the moment, the CPC is holding, and estimated earnings are still looking good, but I've had too much experience of this happening in the past few weeks, and have seen it half within the hour, so I don't trust it for a second.
Play_Bach - Adsense has left me too broke for flowers, but you're welcome to an e-card. ;)
