Just an hour or so to end oct 6, for around 10000 impressions this morning (Taiwan time, GMT+8), I'm seeing single digit earnings.
CTR has plummeted, eCPM is plummeted, and earnings worse this morning. Impressions are counting normally though.
Anyone seeing similar things?

If you think it's not coming back, then it's probably time to look for something else.

more visitors = less money ? / 40% of pages are not counted by adsense...

It's really stuck, as of now.
Am I the only one experience this thing?

I was down around 50% from 8 to 11 (last week), then back to normal.

This week impression is above average, but today is seems very laggy in $ term.

this i the third time this has happened in the last teo years.

2 years ago I had a CTR of N

last year it dropped overnight at N-30%

about 8 months ago it dropped again at N-60%, also from one day to another

and we all know what happened at the start of this month.

how come these drops happen over night?... just a question...
there are lot more issues that are too many to point out right now.

it's clear G is not putting back the stats we have seen until October...

I'm having a *killer* October. If it were a system-wide glitch, I probably wouldn't be.

@netmeg, that's wonderful...do you want to share it with the rest of us? This month has been my worst ever. Not that earnings were great to begin with, but the 300% drop in earnings is starting to sting.

@ JCKline
If you have 300% drop in earning, it's mean that you will pay google.

@CenSin, sorry, I ment 30% (typo), but today it's a lot worse.

Some people here say their adsense is up
some say it is down

I think adsense stats is working, because I see the same number of clicks in adsense and in statcounter. very low clicks and revenue is also low
have any idea what is going on with adsense?

Just be patient and wait until end of the day. :)

I realize that Adsense is suppose to be "plug and forget it" additional revenue to me. After hanging around in this forum, I'm kind of carried away. :P

But, it's just me... Everyone have a different way to look at it.

I'm not seeing any delays out of the Google norm however I am seeing massive EPC spreads from one day to another, for instance on Monday I had 26% more clicks than Sunday yet earned slightly less and today's EPC so far is 20% less than Monday's meaning a 38.5% drop in two days!

That's a seriously crazy roller coaster ride.

I tell you this, analysing your stats like this could make you un poco loco if you didn't have any beer to relax with:-)

Censin, sorry but I do not aggree with you on some aspects.
I am publisher and advertiser. G take money as normal in adwords
but the story became different in adsense.
hope G plays the game in fair.

there is definitely SOMETHING going on here. Yesterday and today have been miserable (earning wise) and yet traffic is the same, if not better than usual.

I get click dumps about 3 times per day then one more hours after the day is over. This has been going on for about 2 weeks and the same with Analytics.

* Just got the 1st one about 20min ago.

This really is my favorite thread on webmasterworld. Do people really look at their stats all day long and constantly worry if they are down from yesterday, last week, last month or last year?

Our earnings our as many have already said here "like a roller coaster" so what? Unless you have a way of monitoring exactly what each advertiser is paying, at all times, and somehow know which ads have been clicked-on, then you have no idea if things are right or not.

Advertisers bids go up and down all the time. Some decide not to display ads on 3rd party sites, some set high bids for a short periods of time, some turn them off at weekends, the list goes on.

NickandSara,

Um, yes. If you're like me, you do. Specifically, if you find yourself running around like a gopher all day, you find that periodically pressing the refresh button is as renewing as sipping a cool, refreshing lemonade...

But you're definitely not alone - a lot of folks, including those who post in these threads, can't help but see the irony...

And you're exactly right - all those things influence revenue. Which I think is exactly why people stress about it. It's a chaotic and unpredictable business. In a bricks and mortar store, we'd have multiple signals to tell us how things are going and if disaster looms. On the Internet, we've only got a few signals, and they're given us through a feeding tube, so they take on a correspondingly higher importance.

People seek meaning in life; it's a survival thing; without seeing patterns, we're pretty helpless as a species. So we impose meaning on things that may be intrinsically meaningless. And when we see connections, any connections, we latch onto them like creatures starving.

The fact that the world has become a lot more complex, unpredictable, and hard to fathom doesn't change our instincts to try to fathom it.

I think people come to the board when they are trying to figure out whether their deviations are meaningful or not. I actually find it weird that more people don't post about the deviations they experience.

And then there are different personality types.

Some folks remark, "It's a hot day" to pass the time. They're pretty calm about daily fluctuations. My grandpa is that way.

Others comment on the weather to see if others are noticing an anomaly - because if not, they know they may have a fever. My grandma was that way.

What it is, is that you get exactly what Goo gives you. No more, no less. If you are up, fine, but you probably are down and there is nothing you can do about it--nothing. Of course you can ooze and gush about what a wonderful time you are having and how much you've made, but you probably aren't. Good luck, get a real job.

Arghhhh...why does G do this? My highest click day of the year combined with my second lowest EPC average!

If only, if only...if only the plex knew what this does to me:-)
