reseller, Jagger3 ended up having less emphasis on canonicals. I plan to make that a theme in my feedback to people at work though.

AlexK, that's a different domain. But the point is very well taken. You've found a pretty obscure query (~295 results) that the keyword stuffing spammers like to target. I'll check this out in more detail.

normasp, if you depend on search engines to eat you are doing things wrong...

Hey, when is Googleguy popping in? It is 2:30 a.m. here and I am falling asleep, but I really want to read his comment before it gets lost in another 346 posts

Thanks reseller

If I hadn't just read your message I would be really worrying.

Our site has dissappeared today from the serps so I will sit back and hope.

Yes, the search facilities on this forum really s**k. In fact, this is some of the worst forum software I've ever seen. Yuk.

On spam reporting. Google is going hammer and tongs on spam reports we are sending. Feeling a little guilty of causing a couple of sites to be delisted after sending spam reports. Those sites were relevant sites, but inadvertently may have had some spammy issues. I had little idea they will be removed from the index. Sorry about that.

Having said that, I have just sent another spam report against an entity running a network of sites interconnected, but not affected even after Jagger3. I guess these guys deserve to be removed.

Normasp, I understand exacttly what you are going through - the same has happened to us. Some of our keywords that WERE showing have now gone and now we are nowhere again.

What struck me with Jagger 3 was the arbitrary ranking of keywords from our site. Some were high, some very low, yet the keyword phrases were all relatively similar. It wasn't logical. Hopefully they pulled J3 for some tweaks and will be putting it back...GG?

But, at the end of the day, Google is now in it FOR THE MONEY. Anything that adversely affects their revenues will be shot down by their shareholders. Google now only cares about you and your needs IF it coincides with their own.

Now? Google has been in it for the money since about 1996, and working for investors since 1998. That they are not looking after your best interests should not be a surprise.

Look at the changes and adapt,
or more importantly,
look at how things can change, and adapt.

>>But reseller..
How is possible that I could see my page yesterday at 5 different DC's and today I can't see nothing?! :-(
I'm very very frustrated, tiring and boring of this situation.
One day appears my page, the next day dissapeared..
It's my job with which I can eat every day..
It's not a hobbie.. <<

I know how you feel. I had been there too.

But as long as long us your site in "flux" too, there is a great chance that you will see it again soon!

"I'm starting to hate my job."

These big updates don't happen very often, the more solid your sites are the less likely you'll be affected.

Your boss has to have some patience, if you're in spain you have a work contract, no?

But hating the job, yeah, that happens, the web can get frustrating, it's not fun all the time, if it stops being fun for too long it's probably time to look somewhere else, but this isn't a good time to think like that, this is unusual. In 1 or 2 months you might find it's really fun again... no te preocupes..

You don't need to feel guilty when reporting spam. Its the spammer whom should feel guilty, not you.

Those spammers are stealing the positions and ranking of valuable whitehat webmasters. And they are also stealing our contents sometimes.

Hmmmz - Big changes for some of my sites overnight.

The Allinanchor improvement I was talking about has spread to all DCs :) - and also 1 Homepage for a site has come back :) - Sitting nicely in the top 10.

However, yes where has Jagger3 gone?

Have they taken it back to do a bit more testing?

I just sent the spam report promised to Googleguy yesterday one hour ago, and I don't feel guilty at all :)

Cloaking, hidden texts, doorways, I guess that we should all focus on major spammers -
I suggest also reporting spammers to Yahoo, MSN even though apparently (for Yahoo at least) it could take years before they review spam reports.
I think that on this update, it not perfect at all of course, Google spam team is doing a very good job, an example for other SE's.

Muchas gracias a todos!(Thanks so much guys!) ;-)
But Google does that I don't seem very serius when every day my boss asks about her site and I said: today appears, today I don't know where it is..
And keep me a secret: she is very hysterical..

Dayo >>> Congrats! ;-)

I think that what we see spreading across DC's is Jagger3.
Yep, I was right to vote on 7.104 in the first place :-P

...in a way I feel a bit like something must be cooking at googleplex and by the end of the week some more tweaking may be done - probabl the famous blending Googleguy was talking about - well...who am I to make predictions lol

You guys who are waiting for GG's comments have no need to wait. You can click on user profile at any time, and see the most recent messages of any user, without having to go through realms of messages on here.

Wrong, you get sent to the first page of the thread that persoon posted on, so for example here you would need to browse around hundreds of posts to actually find that specific one

normasp, tell your boss to relax, google is doing a huge update of its entire systems, and it may last for longer than we think.

If you're seeing your site appear fairly frequently in Jagger 3 it will probably come back. Not certainly, we've lost one, and one came back. It all depends. Another site I do is looking to break all previous traffic records, it really depends on what the competition, and your site, look like.

This is probably going to keep testing for a week or so, then Google may continue to test other things, we'll see.

But this update is not normal, it's a very significant. You can't control it, but it will stabilize and end at some point, the trick is to make your somewhat hysterical boss understand that this is not a usual circumstance.

normasp boss is a she. And as you might know you can tell a women to relax only during 3 weeks of a month. On the forth week, she might kill you if you ask her to relax (:(

Perhaps they decided to make each update so confusing and last so long that we'll eventually just become bored of them? :)

Eazygoin,

Not true.

The user profile shows you just the discussion when someone posted, not the actual messages.

the "view by messages posted by GG" is not available on this forum. this is why they must broswe all the pages (I wonder if it will be heavier for the server to have a "search by user" rather than deliverying hunders of pages.
