AlexK, that's a different domain. But the point is very well taken. You've found a pretty obscure query (~295 results) that the keyword stuffing spammers like to target. I'll check this out in more detail.

Yesterday with apparent J3 updates all looked fine to todays disaster. :\
No offense but a PR update should mean more traffic not 2/3 less.. If PR6 is meaningless then please don't bore us with it..
Sorry for being emotional but this really sucks.
The tweak/fix is incomplete too -- at least on my effected domain two /directory/-sections do not get "fixed" -- but at least this is a start... and some beginning analysis of jagger can begin.
So is this over now and can we at least start reacting now?
The refinement/tweak/fix applied to Jagger1 results (as a test I guess) last week is now rolling out onto many more datacenters. Hopefully it will get on them all today and we can move forward from there. The tweak/fix is incomplete too -- at least on my effected domain two /directory/-sections do not get "fixed" -- but at least this is a start... and some beginning analysis of jagger can begin
Why now Jagger 1 again? I thought J3 was out. Was away today and come home now to Jagger 1?

I had such a result about a week ago on a DC with all 3 sections neatly split.
So it seems G is still toying with us, let the waiting continue.
Just a reliable end date would be helpful then we can look then and take it from there. I just thought this was today this end date according to MC blog. :\
PR6 isn't great but better then PR 5 ;) i thought, which we had before. :) Since we cashed in more and more natural links I thought this would be good. :\
I was under the assumption most webmasters had now dismissed visible toolbar pr, as it is entirely useless except for validating whether a particular site may have incurred a penalty.
A pr2 link from a ten year themed site in dmoz is worth 5 times a pr 4 link from a one year old domain imho.
Especially noticeable for us in this newest series of updates - links from aged sites, themed and totally on topic.
As I said if it's worthless that PR then it should be binned .. :).
I have a PR6 also on an equally old english site which is less frequented, so I believe it's harder to achieve in non english languages.
Anyway just an end date then I can come back then and whinge. ;)

There is no end date. Jagger ver/whatever will move right on into the next algo changes (name undetermined, but if tradition were a factor it should start with the letter K) and won't look back. As noted several times in these monstrously long threads, canonicalization problems are a big part of peoples problems, and given enough time, if changes have been made, sites will crawl back into the serps. Dodgy linking schemes, etc, etc, are a different matter.
All of this has me wondering if the folks at G are as smart as they'd like us to belive. They seem to talk a good game, but 3 weeks into this 'update' SERPs are bouncing off the walls with no sign of settling down.
Fortunately for G, Joe Surfer doesn't have a clue. I could never get away with these antics with my customer base. If my products varied wildly for three weeks in a row my phone would never stop ringing and most of my customers would bolt.
Yet, G gets off scott free. Go figure.

Now back to my dodgy linked pages .. lol
First, as a courtesy to the mods /as per rules I wouldn't put any keywords here--especially if they are yours.
Second, unless it has been upheld in court, you really don't own it. The trademark office registers pretty much anything you submit, and they let the courts handle any challenges

what surprised me is that most of my pages were dropped totally, and I'm gaining them back little by little. I have about 1500 pages and only about 150 are cached, and another 200 are url only. I did remove many supplementals via G remove but I doubt that had an affect.
Once can hope that this will fix it.
on what date did you recover from 9/22? and which DC do you see your results?

Is there a tool online to find the PR of a given URL?
