May 2019 AdSense Earnings & Observations

April 2019 was a kick in the teeth for most /some of us.

Easter (Catholic and Orthodox) and very low payment made April a very bad surprise.

May is here and it's starting with a non-working day (1st of May - International Workers' Day) in many countries.

Hope the best, expect the worst...

End of month clawback horrific, 6.7%. Never known it so high and my traffic has barely changed.

Yes, I did remove AdSense from all sites except for one that was still earning 50% of the monthly revenue thinking that every couple of months that would make a payout ... Nah, after April it's down to at least a 4 month minimum ... I am not keeping that very informative widget site going without a few beers to show for it.

Does Google work for nothing?

My yesterdays earning got adjusted and was up a bit, and then reporting got stuck for hours now.

From morning 6AM (IST) no earning updates. Ads are shown on site but no changes in earnings, seating at 0.

Same here, AdSense is reporting around 25% of the actual pageviews this morning (UK). Yesterday's earnings at midnight were adjusted up 25% by this morning, which I *suspect* is down to a delay in reporting rather than generosity on Google's part! So seems to have been going on since then at least.

Same here in UK, and it is 8.00am. Ads are shown, there is no shortage of the ads in my inventory. I have 50/50 split between Adsense and MediaNet, but I think i will be slowly tipping the scale towards the MediaNet.

@Niresh12495 I had 5usd reducted as invalid which seems to be the highest so far and I believe it wold be the last this would happen. before i normally get like 0.1 to 1usd. so the increase in invalid traffic i will consider a bit high tho

@Yudee my reduction was heavy, it was like 6 times than the previous month, I don’t know whats wrong with google.

My page views today rise from 5K to 8K sofar
But page impression are still showing 15K not a single impression was counted

Had AS on sites since 2005 and it served me well for a good while.

Other income sources, invasive Google 'guidelines' and invalid traffic click attacks led to me reducing usage and now, with the return of the 'invalid traffic' deductions on the few remaining sites using it, it is time to remove the last AS container div from the code.

Goodbye, AS, and thanks for all the fish (and the mortgage payments).

@RedBar have you tried Ezoic, I am not trying to promote them, but I have tried them and it seemed to improve the revenue flow on my properties. The downside of Ezoic is that you will end up loading more JS, but the upside is machine learning and several other things that can potentially improve your situation in terms of revenue.

@Niresh12495 well one word would be it will get better with time. Last month there was no invalid click recorded form me instead i had over 10usd added to over a 1k usd...
concerning the stuck stat this is not the first time just keep working it will be sorted out soon. the problem is been disused right now on twitter [twitter.com...]

Same here for me, I'm from the Philippines. Only Pageviews count gets updated the rest got stuck.

Not the first time it happened. But Adsense is still stuck after 6 hours. They will fix it soon. Nothing to worry about.

Stuck here, just hope they find some extra once fixed to make up for the last few months! 6% clawback for me for last month, on what was already a record bad month, it is a kick in the teeth to have nearly 2 days worth of ads shown for free in effect.

Same here, 50K pageviews but earnings 0.12 euro. Besides this, the results of Google Adsense where awful last quarter. Advertisers paid almost 20% less for each click and there where less clicks (CTR). Competition is rising but we can't take profit from it.
