April 2019 was a kick in the teeth for most /some of us.

Easter (Catholic and Orthodox) and very low payment made April a very bad surprise.

May is here and it's starting with a non-working day (1st of May - International Workers' Day) in many countries.

Hope the best, expect the worst...

In 2003, Adsense counted close to 100% clicks, today it's a much much smaller number

There's no doubt that Google's definition of what constitutes a valid click has been squeezed into almost nothingness. A few years ago I ran some tests on people exiting my sites via external links, including clicks on ads. It emerged that Google was paying out on one in every five or six clicks. I suspect the ratio is even worse now.

We can blame bots, accidental clicks, click-bombing, etc. for that - but I suspect Google's valid click policy favours the interests of advertisers over publishers (with the possible exception of Google's own properties, of course).

As I've often said, Adsense should have abandoned CPC ads and moved to a CPM-driven model long ago.

Anybody noticed an improvement of revenues since Adsense email yesterday.

Finger crossed, I think they have sorted out some of the issues.

End of the month you'll always see a bit of a dip.

Google is continually investing in measures to protect and improve the experience for our advertisers, publishers, and users.

As we launch improvements to our systems and defenses, sites with invalid traffic may experience limited ad-serving. Additionally, if we are unable to verify the quality of your traffic, we may limit or disable your ad serving.

Please check out our help center on Invalid Traffic to learn about how to prevent invalid traffic and improve your traffic quality.

I'm giving AdSense a week more, I'm done after that.

No change on my end other than quality of ads. Still down 40% since the problems earlier this month.
