April 2019 was a kick in the teeth for most /some of us.

Easter (Catholic and Orthodox) and very low payment made April a very bad surprise.

May is here and it's starting with a non-working day (1st of May - International Workers' Day) in many countries.

Hope the best, expect the worst...

Here it's still halved in comparison with the new normal lows since February till April. So it's a horror story IF I was only placing bets on Adsense. I'm lucky with affiliates, etc.

Today CTR is way off and also cpc = 40% less revenue for me.

It’s a joke or recession!

Things rebounded today. We'll see if it holds. The Ad Review center seems somewhat back on track, showing that I am actually displaying ads in May.

While reports are still facing problems, real time clawback works perfectly.....

Never seen anything like this in 14 years of Adsense. Looks like I'll have to get a real job soon.

It affects everyone apparently
Sunday evening is used to pickup.
And again zero communication from AdNonSense

Never seen anything like this in 14 years of Adsense

You must remember the bot attack in March of 2014 when earnings reportings were on a rollercoaster - that event caused me to sell my big house, move into a smaller one, save more money and diversify my income - or the cloud ad issue in August of 2017 when unclickable ads were everywhere. This is just another Adsense test of will. It, too, shall pass (knock on wood). As I've said many times, this business is not for the faint of heart.

The CPC is all over the place, but I think it’s slowly improving. My RPM has been up of late as well, and due to seasonal traffic, this is now my best ever month, overtaking last month.

Have made just shy of £5000 so far, when my last best was shy of £3000. I can’t complain because that’s amazing figures I never envisaged getting, however I’m having to get about 5x the traffic I was getting in December and January to make just 2x the profit.

Due to my niche, I won’t be earning anything more than £50 for the next three months starting today, but I’m hopeful the CPC increases as the summer goes on or else I’ll be really getting squeezed.

Man, 2014-2017 was my Adsense heyday. I didn't notice anything back then because I was making good money. It's changed so much now. I'll have to adapt. C'est La Vie.

Does someone have the guts to open a topic at the Google Support Forums for Adsense? I believe Google will erase it and ignore all the problems. I'm missing already a minimum of €500 this month because of the problems.

Earnings are definitely less than expected so far this month, down 25% from the same time last year.

The funny thing is, that Google stock is still near the all time highs. It only dropped like 10% since the last earnings report.

Stock market is clearly rigged and there will be the biggest crash since 1929.

Seriously thinking about shorting Google stock before the next quarter earnings report. It will probably drop by 30-50%.

Hi Frost and welcome, but seriously? Google stock is not going to drop 30% to 50%.

For us this month is the worst in ten years with AdSense. At the same time Google reporting 30% increase in income. Worst behavior ever.

I decided to pop in here because I was worried about my earnings going down, down, down for May. I thought surely things would bounce back after a dismal April. It appears I am not alone... which is comforting in some ways -- heartbreaking in other ways. I've been with Adsense since 2003 -- never had issues -- and then these huge clawbacks started late last year... and now just horrible earnings altogether. It was great.... when it was great.... but boy, oh boy... is it bad, when it's bad.

I did remove all link units about 2 months ago -- I'm hoping that puts an end to the HUGE clawbacks.

earnings going down, down ... it started years ago and those who hadn't been improving their results again and again had already gone to zero. Now in Europe closing many medias, "thanks Google news initiative", even Siemens say 10,000 employees to be fired under business transformation. Under pressure due to fall in profits and less revenue.

Sissi

Stupid question: only link units are affected?
I ve tried ther formats they are not better.

I don't use link units but earnings are bad. If I compare views and earnings with header bidding:

Network: Adsense - Header bidding
Views: almost 90% - slightly more than 10%
Earnings: about 65% - about 35%

The difference in CPM is huge and the bad earnings in Adsense even affect header bidding because they are competing with each other. There where days that my affiliate ads didn't even show up because of problems with all parts of Google. For me this costs me a lot of earnings but I'm glad I've a job and my website.

so why do you have so few views with header bidding compared to adsense?

Google actually reported earnings much lower than expected in Q1 and the stock dropped 10% because of that.

@ember why Google stock shouldn't drop more than 30%? it's currently very overvalued. Most of the tech stocks should drop at least 30% to get to their real valuations.

@Rundun Thanks

My overall portfolio is trying to maintain April level.
I noticed however that some domains are doing extremely well (2 digit RPM and excellent CTR) while other domains with same content quality and good ranking are just ignored by Adsense.
