November - page views were down by about 5%; earnings were up by over 10%; page RPM up by 15%

Got the same email regarding DFP, I actually had some of those files at the root level of my domain, can't even remember from when.

As for AdSense, things are absolutely lovely for me. Better than last year...fifth straight day over $500. :D

Ridiculously bad earnings yesterday, today looks like it's going to be dire as well. If my CPC stays at 5p then even if I get 100 clicks it would be terrible. Maybe it's because we are leading up to Christmas and it's far too late to start ordering things online so people aren't going to bother shopping online until after Christmas.

I have seen the same thing. On Dec 18 coverage dropped by 20%. Daily earnings are down more than 50%. Traffic remains the same. This is the first time in 13 years with Adsense I have seen this particular situation. Having said that, I did notice that earnings are looking better this morning. Anyone else seeing an improvement today? Fingers crossed! This is a weird one, even for December.

My coverage dropped from 90% on the 18th to 77% on the 19th and then was back to 90% the next day. It is still at 90%.

Blimey, I think I spoke too soon. My page RPM has suddenly jumped up to £4.41 and my CPC is now 20p with a page CTR of 2.16%. If things carry on like this earnings will be quite good today.

Just on earnings.

Remember it's xmas season for some of us (UK here) , today is one of those days where people aren't so internet focused perhaps.

It's too late for deliveries (so people might not be buying/researching as much) and folks have other things to be getting on with, like getting merry and travelling.

So perhaps, it's also related to PPC expenditure being down too (turned off even) A lot of account managers and small businesses dial things down this time of year, especially in these run up days.

Finally, apologies if this has been said already, but it's likely to be very niche specific - some of us have sites that do really well at this time of the year and others the obverse.

I fall into the latter, where earnings are down significantly, which is unusual, as traffic is pretty much ok. Too many blank spaces, ctr has dropped and cpc's stink.

In December 2016 I was having RPM $8,2, in December 2017 I have $3,1 and I'm pretty sure that all these weird things happening right now is not due to Christmas holidays. Hope that this is just a glitch, because if the things will remain the same - I will have no choice and have to look for the alternatives in the next year.

I usually see a dive in traffic and earnings around Christmas. This, however, is different. The empty ad slots and 50% reduction in earnings while traffic remains the same is strange, something is going on. The fact that traffic has not tanked is a good sign. Over the years whenever I have seen this, a recovery follows. When traffic disappears, it's bad news.

Yea my coverage is still very low. Still seeing empty ads in slots. My traffic is normal even for the week before the holiday week. I have never seen coverage less than 96% before. My coverage tumbled down starting Monday, December 18th almost 20%. I was at like 78-79% Tuesday and Wednesday. Today, I am a little over 81% coverage.

I thought the morning was looking promising but this afternoon has completely slowed down. I was at 98% coverage on the 17th, I have been at 75% since.

Numbers are still way down.... something is up for sure. They either changed the way their algo reads the page / display ads or there is a bug.... I know that seasonality plays a factor, but not at the extend that I am experiencing right now.

Yesterday turned out to be better than I was expecting. Because most of my traffic comes from the US I really can't judge properly what's going to happen until the early hours of the morning here in the UK.

Coverage have been good for us this whole time. But we have seen a drastic decline in cpc and and increase in clicks. Resulting in lower income.

CPC and CTR was up by 50% for a week or so until today when it went back to normal. Wonder what could've been the reason? Christmas hype?

Page RPM is up to £5.11 today and my CPC is 21p so I think today could well be very good if it carries on like this.

I am not an hourly watcher. I check about once a day and look for trends over a period of time. Overall for December I am seeing a 5% decrease in traffic/pages view and a 50% drop in earnings. My sites are somewhat seasonal so I always have less traffic in the winter months but the decline in earnings is disheartening. This is shaping up to be my worst month of 2017

For me, it has been the complete opposite. I've seen huge traffic improvements this month and it's by far the best month of 2017 in terms of earnings. Previous months very terrible.

Yesterday was terrible, today is looking a complete disaster. In fact, page RPM and CPC are absolutely zero, although my earnings today are just 20p. I'm hoping it's just a glitch in the system and it will change later.

I suppose it really depends on what you will CPC normally is. At the moment I would consider 20p ($.26) to be reasonably good for me.
