Do we need to depress some of us for another month or, as coachm wrote:

It's funny at this point. I'm rooting for it to go lower, since I'd hardly lose any more money. Let's break a record!

Game on!

A near total collapse in earnings so far today. Fun. :-|

My earnings look just weird today. Not that I'm some kind of adsense expert - but I have been using adsense since 2003 and did very well until the dreaded April 14th Panda meltdown. I was still able to breathe and deal with the catastrophic mutilation of my rankings and survive (barely) - but today has literally made me fall to my knees.
I am dumbfounded. The difference between today and Wednesday are so different, I don't understand? This is brutal.
I'm not sure what to do at this point? I think I could make more money being a gold farmer on World of Warcraft and I would have more fun too. LOL

Guess its back to SNAFU. Seems to be a pile of off-target advertising too.

An observation: In Google AdSense reports (new interface) I noticed that there was a dollar amount shown for the next payment to be issued by Jul 1, 2011. Now this dollar amount is NOT the same as MTD earnings. Has anyone else seen this? If so, what do you think? Could it be that Google knows 1/3 into the month what our final payment will be?

Just watching the movie "Brazil". There are some unsettling parallels between the Ministry of Information and Google.

I vaguely remember that movie, jm. I have the DVD, so I think I'll watch it tonight.

Earnings still unbelievably low today. On track for the single worst day since starting up in November 2004.

Play_Bach,

Same here for me too. I think some kind of tweak happened late Wednesday and it somehow dropped my traffic even lower....if that can happen. I have a 12 year old site, no funny business - just quality content, crap tons of back links....and the Panda ate it and puked it back up. Guess it's still puking a little.....lol

azlinda, that is the payment for last month. 1st July is the deadline for issuing it, but its usually issued about a week earlier.

I wonder is some new targeting system is being rolled out - some people have seen earnings recover before others were hit.

Even I could see the improvement in overall ranking and adsense earning from last 2-3 days.

I think panda is slow learner but it is learning for sure. We did not change anything on our sites and slowly sites are coming back in SERPs and also in terms of adsense.
My 2 cents.

Thanks

I'm afraid to even look today. I just can't bring myself to do it. I know it's less than if I were working minimum wage somewhere.

Have had a good June so far, but the past 2 days (well, yesterday and so far today) have been... odd; in a very good way.

CTR and traffic was lower than usual yesterday (to the point where - on standard CPC - it would have been a dismal day), but CPC jumped up 3x to its usual amount.

And today so far, CPC is 4x its usual amount.

Looking at the targetting types report, it doesn't seem to be placement or IBA ads - just the standard ad deliveries. Very odd. Not complaining of course!

@tranquilito - out of interest, are the high paying clicks/CPC from a particular country, or all over?

For me, the USA CPC is over 4x as much as its usual average, but other country's CPC is the same.

Traffic up 20% and WORST earnings day in 18 months.

So I guess AUTO INSURANCE clicks are only worth 8 cents now eh!

Total bullsh*t! I wonder who is getting the HUGE gain from me getting burned? Google or the Adwords advertiser.

More and more, we are adding affiliate links for commissions as Adsense is getting pathetically cheap with their payout to publishers. I'm wondering if they even want us anymore?

yesterday was started with 4 $0.00 clicks and ended with one amazing $15.xx click from Finland. Still can't make me happy with that low CTR.

today is just another bad day. Low traffic, very low CTR and normal CPC with $1.xx eCPM.

A very strange weekend with very low clicks, Sunday only just beat Xmas Day by click volume but both days had excellent EPCs and combined they earned precisely my new daily average....surprise, surprise.

Today's elastic band seems to have broken already therefore it's time to exhume the hamsters, they could hardly do any worse.

The 2 days adrenaline shot is over and the hamsters are dead in their cages, as the eCPM is falling like a rock...

Something very curious is happening.

My hamsters are dead too, however, there is a bright white hamster wearing a blue cape with a big white M asking me to let him try. Guess it can't hurt...

No offence to anyone however until something happens with Panda/AdSense/CTR/Earnings/I_Mean_Drastic, I really can't see the point, after more than one month of these pitiful days, in contributing to this thread unless something new occurs.

I'll be the first to post if something good happens but I'm just leaving AdSense where it is now and taking the money at the end of the month when it arrives.

I'm away all next week in Germany at a huge international widget trade fair consequently there will be a lot of note comparing between those of us who use AdSense and the possibility of us establishing our own MadSense or, equally, something entirely different.

Certainly, post-Panda, there have already been suggestions about creating an alternative to the established search engines since between us all we have every widget trade address in the world, well, more or less:-)

Ouch, my head hurts to think about that one!

Today for the first time in years, my CRT has gone below 1%. Something is drastically wrong at Google. I don't think I'll check this thread for a while either because it's too depressing. I just do not understand this. I'm thinking seriously of replacing all my Google Ads with Microsoft ads. BTW, VSW is outperforming Google big time!

Have a good time in Germany, HuskyPup!
