Major changes to AdSense

Pricing structure and ad relevance

Unless adsense is sending out a april fools joke, what do people think of the changes? Every site has a unique pricing model?

For example, a click on an ad for digital cameras on a web page about photography tips may be worth less than a click on the same ad appearing next to a review of digital cameras.

tombola, we are seeing a slight increase today, too. Yesterday was terrible, but today is the best day in $$$ we have had in months. For all I know, tomorrow will be bad again. I'll keep you posted.

I have had 2 days now where my CPC has gone down from $1.50 a click to $0.42 a click. I have not gone below $1 since I started.

As much as you (or I) might want to, it's best not to post exact $$$ figures like that... but if it makes you feel any better, the EPC I'm **happy* with is a small fraction of what you get (even today)... and now that fraction is far lower than that.

CTR and revenue for me are about the same over the last two days as they have been, on a site with about 100,000 impressions / day.

However, my CPC is pretty low. I'm wondering if sites with high CPC are affected more than those with low CPC.

With only one more click than yesterday, so far todays earnigns are up 1/3rd. Best day since February 21.

between today and yesterday:
CTR increase by 0.x%.
Revenue increase by 20%.
Clicks roughly the same.

I don't know if it's due to the day-to-day fluctuations or the 'major change'.

And Chicken Juggler, you're complaining about $0.40 CPC? Mine is much less than that!

Disclaimer: I have ~20 pages tagged so the numbers are small.

I am seeing a very slight but consistent increase in impressions since March 21. Clicks are not as high as they were in Jan & Feb so earnings have dropped.

Channels have been a godsend.

Mine went up.

In forums, people complaining about a change, are much more likely to post than noncomplaining people. So take that into account.
