Has anyone tried buying push traffic (not popunder ads) to generate traffic on certain articles to increase the amount of site vistors, thus triggering positive Google metrics?

I haven't personally used this and won't.

I wouldn't assume bought push traffic helps Discover. Google says Discover is driven by user interests and content quality, not raw traffic volume.

In my experience, low-intent traffic often produces poor engagement signals (short visits, high bounce rates), which can work against you.

If you're spending money, it's likely better to rather amplify content through relevant social, email, PR, or communities where users actually care about the topic. Those are stronger signals than cheap push traffic.

I'm guessing that by the huge amount of comments that no one here does this, correct?
