From Matt's blog
P.S. I’m off to bed, but Jagger3 is coming along. I don’t know if it will be visible later today or not, but I’ll keep you posted when I know more.

Google for information, Froggle for shopping? May be that's the take home message from the big G after Jagger has run its course?

I think you have hit the nail on the head. In fairness it would be the best way for Google to go in the long run.

However if true they have chosen the wrong time of the year to do this since more and more shoppers will need to be educated to use Froogle straight away or they will end up changing search engines until they realise.

well I hope not... my two year old website which fluctuates between PR5 and 6 at updates has always been within the top #5 for its search phrase....

on that dc it has moved to position 35....

So obviously jagger 3 is a huge change from the others?... not sure why my site would be moved so far down the list when it has stood strong through all updates of the previous two years - quite strange...

au_sammy - I, alonmg with many other people here are in exactly the same boat! The results don't make sense at the moment in my industry.

For exanple, for one keyword I am #14 and in #15 is a page from a different website showing my link?!?

Here's hoping Jagger3 will change this!

Know what you mean. In the new results my traffic counter page actually ranks higher than my own website for my main keyword. Hope also this results won't stick.

Not when direct competition price comparison website Kelkoo is ranking higher than ever for UK/European engines... for every product and even stuff like movie star names so forget IMDb.com compare prices at Kelkoo instead :(

"on that dc it has moved to position 35"
that is why i say that must be fase 3 of Google havoc(I hate that name jagger so I will call it fase 3)
by the way why not rename Jagger to Havoc?

We have a bit of a new look here; [64.233.161.99...]

At least for us, a.m. on the East Coast.

Hmmmz

GG - in hindsight perhaps it would have been useful to post the DC which Jagger3 is likely to appear on - even if it has not appeared yet.

Otherwise - everytime someone posts a DC - people are going to start looking at and thinking - what is different?

Of course sooner or later the correct one will get posted.

From what I am looking for improvements in - no improvements yet on any dc.

Those are not pre-9/22 results. There are a few pages I added since 9/22 showing in there. Those actually are not as bad at all.

[64.233.161.99...] each time I click "search" the results change - one set of results looks pretty good - the others aren't so good...back to watching then - this is beginning to take over my life! lol

Yes, on that DC the results are changing from second to second. I'm going to stop staring at that quickly :)

dayo - yes - very similar in my industry. the results on 216 are the "good" results (for me) that keep fliiping back anf forth on 64.233.161.99 - PLEASE GOOGLE - THESE LOOK MUCH BETTER (at least for me!)

In UK, I got difference search results when the ISP is different since yesterday. If I use NTL broadband, then the results are horrible, if i use BT broadband, then the results are very nice (although different from pre-Jagger).

Ok - would still call that Jagger2 myself.

But I might not be seeing what others are (of course)

Dayo_UK,

Those two dcs are looking the same to me and seem to have changed slightly from other dc's I've been checking....they look more like results that were showing before the weekend.

The results on those two DCs look the same as what I have been seeing for the last week or so (at least for my search terms).

In comparison to 66.102.9.104, where my site has dropped to the basement for the same terms.

Dayo_UK

1:09 pm on Nov 2, 2005 (gmt 0)

Yes, they are both moving. Well 3 dc sets - so perhaps hard to say they are the same as they keep switching.

216.239.37.104, 216.239.39.104 and 64.233.161.104

Which makes me think it is still Jagger2 (stage whatever) - or something different (perhaps old)

Jagger3 is expected to just hit one dc.
