My whole site has a new cache date of May 25th. Maybe once these other sites around me get recached, I won't hold such an honorable top position. But at least Google has found my pages worthy to sit in the Search again.:) It seems strange to look at the stats and see Google in there, after 6 months of just seeing Yahoo and MSN referrals.

My website has plenty of outbound links, but they are on relevant pages. The problem my site has always had, was a lack of "inbound links." I got tired of searching for people to link to me (with all the spammy sites around) and gave up. So my pages have acquired some links naturally I guess(and I'll bet I still don't have more than 30 inbound links for the whole site) Still have a PR4, which I've had since it disappeared in Nov.

GoogleGuy

You mentioned in your post (msg#:422)
[webmasterworld.com...]

>Bourbon includes something like 3.5 improvements in search quality, and I believe that only a couple are out so far. The 0.5 will go out in a day or so, and the last major change should roll out over the next week or so.<

Would you be kind to elaborate more about the nature of major improvements in search quality which have been implemented/completed so far?

Thanks!

Another question for GG:

If we somehow manage to determine what it is that we have done to anger the mighty Google AND if it is our power to repair it*... how long will we continue to be penalized?

Assume that we are PR5 or PR6 sites that are completely crawled by Googlebot every day or two, as that seems to be the average case.

Are we better in a week? In a month? In the next major algorithmic shift?

* Inbound links are not in our control, including links from "bad neighborhoods" and 302 edirects.

It is getting worse!
Check DC 64.233.171.147

bad?! WOW! it's great! My site is finally out of sandox! After 7 months of waiting... Still on page 4, but small moves... before it was not in results at all, since the day of its creation.

And you are saying there is no sandbox! Of course there is, no matter how you call it. My site didn't do anything wrong these 7 months rather than just being launched in December.

BillyS, hows's yours? ;)

That petty much sums up my feelings of the moment...

My traffic has gone up substantially across a range of subjects. Googles got rid of a load of junk including scapers and afilliates which has caused the real and original info sites to rise. Whatever they have done I cant complain but I do suspect that the majority of complainers need to take a careful look at their sites to see if they fall within the parameters of the classes of sites that Google is obviously seeking to diminish. Reading between the lines in the GG question thread is very informative and does I believe point the way. Inevitably there will be some co-lateral damage that isnt deserved because there always is but in the main I see very clean serps compared with only a few days ago.

I have only noticed very minor changes over the last few days.

I am wondering if that 0.5 has been applied yet or not.
