My whole site has a new cache date of May 25th. Maybe once these other sites around me get recached, I won't hold such an honorable top position. But at least Google has found my pages worthy to sit in the Search again.:) It seems strange to look at the stats and see Google in there, after 6 months of just seeing Yahoo and MSN referrals.

My website has plenty of outbound links, but they are on relevant pages. The problem my site has always had, was a lack of "inbound links." I got tired of searching for people to link to me (with all the spammy sites around) and gave up. So my pages have acquired some links naturally I guess(and I'll bet I still don't have more than 30 inbound links for the whole site) Still have a PR4, which I've had since it disappeared in Nov.

Could 0.5 have referred to the migration of algoII across all the data centres as shortly after he announced it the migration began in earnest whereas prior to that algoI and algoII has been spread evenly and equally across the data centres. Seems strange to refer to it as 0.5 if it was an actual algo change.

Mmm

I am still seeing more than 1 or even more than 2 sets of results.

Might be unique for the site I am tracking - but there are deffo more than 1 algo on the dcs.

IMO

Fact is that the fellow members who have suffered from Bourbon since its start are still suffering the same, with or without 0.5 "improvement".

And what worry me most is the rest of the 3.5 (which is one) that will be implemented next week, if the same tendency continue.

But lets wait, see and hope that things change to the better. That is all what we can do at present.

I'm back to seeing 2 sets of results, but they seem to be the same ones from prior to the DC's alignment. Using "helleborine's spinning widget plans" as my company name, I'm either #141 or #152. Deep into the bowels of scraper SERPs.

Everything still looks fabulous in the allin's, which appear to be completely ignored.

Looking at "free spinning widget plans" where I previously held the #1 spot, I get:

#1 Page with links, amazon, advertisements, popunders, no information about widget plans, no widget plans to speak of.
#2 Indented entry of above site.
#3 Spinning widget software site. Barely relevant.
#4 Commercial site offering "plans" as an aside.
#5 A painfully incomplete and poorly described list of links.
#6 Spinning widget plan magazine.
#7 Commercial site offering very poor "plans" as an aside.
#8 Commercial site offering very poor "plans" as an aside.
#9 Commercial site offering very poor "plans" as an aside.
#10 Commercial site offering very poor "plans" as an aside.

Page 2 is really dodgy, we're already into the realm of "suggestion rank."

My site is completely devoted to spinning widget plans. It's nothing but. I LOOK FORWARD to the 2.0 improvements. I fear I will be disappointed.

I have been very badly hit by this algo, however i can live with it. There have been algos which have seen my traffic go through the roof.

What ever the algo i have never posted just to gloat and thank google. Can i suggest when so many people are trying to post it would be far easier to find the useful information if the fools who only post to say how well they are doing would keep there big mouths shut.

With all due respect, if the algo works for some people, it can be helpful for everyone to know.

Especially if some details are included, like... "I'm in a spammy area to begin with" - "it's not a competitive term" - "I'm getting a spike in referrals for 4-word keyphrases" etc.

if I do site:onewebsite.com

the second result out of 4300 pages is a nonexistang page with a cache from Sep 29, 2004

unless site:domain doesnt rank pages, this just simply makes no sens and old cache pages is a persistant problem with googles results

I’m seeing a big jump in Google referrals this morning, after losing nearly 50% of my traffic after Bourbon; I am now seeing roughly 30% of that traffic back from Google.

I haven’t nailed it down to any specific data centers; it would appear to be from several of them. Although oddly enough I’m still stuck down on the third page for my main keyword, this traffic re-gain appears to be for two word keyword combos, whereas recently I was only getting them on three and four word combos.
