My whole site has a new cache date of May 25th. Maybe once these other sites around me get recached, I won't hold such an honorable top position. But at least Google has found my pages worthy to sit in the Search again.:) It seems strange to look at the stats and see Google in there, after 6 months of just seeing Yahoo and MSN referrals.

My website has plenty of outbound links, but they are on relevant pages. The problem my site has always had, was a lack of "inbound links." I got tired of searching for people to link to me (with all the spammy sites around) and gave up. So my pages have acquired some links naturally I guess(and I'll bet I still don't have more than 30 inbound links for the whole site) Still have a PR4, which I've had since it disappeared in Nov.

Google is dead to me, I now call them Poogle (thanks max_mm).

Actually having a derogatory name like Poogle might help the word to spread on a wave of humor at the expense of Google.

I've been mostly using Yahoo for a month or two now, and I'm spreading the word where I can. Yahoo results look like those of Google when it was, you know, competent.

I can see all those PHDs coming up with ever more clever and intricate ways to judge relevance, and also making themselves look busy in the process so that they can keep their jobs.

For whatever reason, the SERPs are turd at the moment.

to all of you that admit to creating spam sites with the 'if you can't beat em join em' attitude.. (and I have seen quite a few these the last ten days).. you are PATHETIC!

Trying to keep up with the way poogle is re-organizing the web is PATHETIC alright. It leaves many webmasters with no other options really. That's if they want their online businesses to survive those weird algo updates. Unfortunately, 80% of joe surfers are still using poogle for their searches.

Every update the same thing and the same end result

I think it's a little different. It seems to be hitting more quality content sites. I think in their need to fight spam Google has hit some sites that they didn't mean to hurt.

My big site is still as strong as ever but the smaller one is down in the serps. Not off the map like some have reported but enough that I am inclined to refrain from adding any quality material unless it improves. Some excellent people in my field have contributed articles to this site and I feel badly that their articles are no longer being found.

You must not search Yahoo! to much because it looks bad. Google and Yahoo! are looking more spamming after each update, but with TrustRank Google could turn things around.

So are any of you webmasters going to promote MSN and Yahoo now? Seems half this thread is anti-google (finally)!

I think most of you that are anti-Google are just the ones that lost your ranking! Why would anyone promote MSN search engine? It's way to easy to get number one on MSN with Spam. I tried it myself to see how good MSN was and the end result, my web site with nothing that a searcher would want to see is ranking number one for a keyword thousands search for each day. Why promote a search engine that can't get anything right or even close to it?

Actually, I think Gigablast is kind of cute.

Seems to be a one man operation and goes down sometimes - maybe the guy will get some funding and be able to keep working on it.

First of all I havent drank my morning coffee yet, so don't blame me. But I am seeing major changes in the index again, not to mention that google has removed their tracking code (which always give me the impression that these index would be the stable).

A site of mine have gone from #48 to #190 for a very competetive keyword. Another site dissapeared totally for my company name, but still found in the index if searched for mycompanyname.net

I hope it's just the lack of caffeine in my blood.

>Well Im telling you my site as we type is coming back from having over half the pages to include the home page being grey-bared and out of the index to getting pr back and now these same pages are showing up in the index again, I would say "Its not over" wouldnt you? <

The everchanging serps and sites appearance and disappearance have been there since allegra update 3rd Feb 2005 reaching Bourbon update. A fellow member (Atticus) called it also "Yo-Yo" effect. See my post of 27th April 2005

I guess what Iīm trying to say is that changes of your site position and back and forth movements on the serps donīt mean that Bourbon isnīt complet.
It just means that the unstable status of sites and serps after allegra continue through Bourbon and after Bourbon, unfortunately.

I can see purchase link still works. 3 websites of the same owner (different but similar content) ranking very well in some expensive keyword serp.

Does google filter already comes in?
