Google now shows on their main index the new update and new algo.

I thought Google where going to add more back links but they no.

The number of backlinks on one of my sites have dropped by 50%

Nothing on WWW for me - fortunately.

I needed a url from Google to show some results
so I used www and I had dropped by 4 places I checked
my baclinks and they where showing what use to be on www-sj and www2, www3

Google are switching it over now and www are still showing old results from different datacenters maybe a handfull of datacenters are showing.

I Know too well not to post unless its for real and I have never posted with out a reason. I was not panicking before like many because I knew backlinks still had to be included.

However now that I see on www no new backlinks I am starting to worry!

Unfortunately, I see it too :( Big traffic drop for me! I dropped at least 50-75 positions on all favorite keyphrases. All I can do now hope for next month.

Thank god some else has seen it, I thought I would be in trouble.

Google tells us to increase our link popularity and webmasters jump to get it. Now they have slashed my backlinks and I have dropped.

My newer site has ranked well with a PR 6 and many backlinks for the past two months and now shows 11 links (February data). Guess I'll have to hope for a huge month out of freshbot.

My results on the main index seem to be coming from www-fi.google.com

I couldn't believe my eyes checked 4 times beleive me I have never posted wrong before!

Stop the madness! There is no update yet. There are (at least) nine data centers, and their SERP's vary right now, so you WILL see fluctuation depending on which dns you happen to hit...

Wait until www is consistent; wait until Yahoo! backlinks are the same on all nine servers; or best of all, wait until Brett says it is so...

THEN you can panic ;-)

I imagine some areas are still showing last months results but I am definately seeing the new(terrible) results. I have another site that is out of the index after being indexed last month. Gone!

ex va and dc are showing diffrent results than fi and sj and the other data centers

I'm not seeing it here in Washington. But I am seeing a HUGE increase in traffic today.

If this is just from a few data centers switching over, I think I will be a happy camper once the update is complete.

Then again, it might be an increase for some other random reason. It's hard to tell with just a few hours of the increased traffic.

If it is the new results, I am kind of surprised. Most of the keyphrases that I checked dropped me by a spot or two. I just have too many to check them all.

For those who see new results, maybe google.com is directing search to datacenter at FI or SJ.

Everyone seeing new result, please confirm to see if it is FI or SJ (compare the number of results return, FI usually has more pages then SJ).

Posting with the datacenter is more benefit to us who read your post (instead of only, 'I see the changes').

I have check all the datacenters. For me, only SJ and FI has new data.

I don't see any new index in the Netherlands yet and Brett's tool doesn't see it either: [webmasterworld.com...] from whereever that thing sits.

added: from where I am -sj is the same as www.

So www are showing www-fi which means they have started rolling it out to the main index!

Could it be that Google are forcing their new 100 links per page rule and sifting out all those bad link pages?
