I can't post the url but if you search on google (www-sj or www, they haven't changed at least) on "dance efactory" they are number one.
This site seems well up on google and mentions Brett etc.
Also has a very good explanation on how google pr is calculated, follow the pagerank link right at the bottom of the right nav bar.
So I'm really confused, googleguy seems to say No update, eFactory say it has started, but www2 which usually seems to be the work area for the new index is not different.
Searches at the www-sj data center have been redirected to other data centers for many months. Now it is online again and www.google.com partly resolves to the according IP address.
Make of that what you will ;)
If this index will be the new main index, i'll start spamming!
I agree with that. I think it would be terrible news for Google to be honest.
The database at sj is exaclty the same one that was there when this exact same thing happened last week. This has been going on for ages - pay attention everyone!
It is the old index from last month (or whenever) with some freshbot listings.
I'm sure they're using it to just mess around with.
This is not the new index, which is a shame for me personally as I did really well in it and I'd be happy if they re-used it!

trillianjedi, -sj index has never been live I promise you that much.
Maybe you spoke too soon? I've seen the sj results on all of my google.com searches for the last 5 minutes or so. Don't worry, I'm not crying 'update' but it's pretty strange that these results are showing on the .com.
>>Could this be because of something they are playing with or is it my misstake?
I think this is something similar to what we saw on www-sj.google.com on the 26th [webmasterworld.com] and not an update [webmasterworld.com].
www-spam-junk.google.com
This is not the update.

I'd agree with that. A site we took down a couple of months ago is ranking higher (pg 2) on -sj than it is on the main data centres (pg 3). As we took it down we'd expect the site to drop down the listings over time.
Also, I remember last months' index showing us in that exact position for the same keyword that is now being shown on -sj.
