Forum Moderators: open
There are often times when I would like to post a question to get feedback from these people that I feel I have got to know and trust, but feel it is going to be off topic and either pulled or moved to another forum that I do not know or visit.
I have enjoyed the sometimes light relief banter that goes on here - and the sometimes flippant comments that get thrown around - re fridges, and mouse tracking etc. Is there any way that WW could almost put a subforum within a forum? ie "adsense off topic forum" or some such thing? Just a thought.:)
Google probably implimented it unbeknownst to we publishers.

ser·en·dip·i·ty Pronunciation (srn-dp-t)
n. pl. ser·en·dip·i·ties
1. The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident.
2. The fact or occurrence of such discoveries.
3. An instance of making such a discovery.
Please, if you also want to have non native English speakers participating, can we please have a little bit of simplified English?
Re incresed status - I've just spent far too much time on here this week - someone started this thread in the community bit, and well, it just became a tad addictive.
:)))
According to my calculations - my next posting after this one will get me to "preferred" status - up there with trannack again (but all hail to Ann & Khensu)
My question is:
What should my next posting be & where!
Should it even be a new topic somewhere?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Absolutely things need to be put into perspective. So since I'm finding this a bit confusing, maybe someone can help me out by providing enlightenment and answering a couple of questions.
Given that:
1. Adsense is a source of income.
2. Receipt of that income is as an independent contractor.
3. Being an independent contractor with Adsense is a significant part of people's business model.
4. Running a business of any kind requires professionalism and expertise, and functioning in a business-like manner as ingredients of success.
And given that, as stated on the homepage, the purpose of WebmasterWorld is:
News and Discussion for the Web Professional
Question 1: What has a thread like this got to do with running a business, and by what criteria would it belong in a forum for people running such a business?
Question 2: For anyone who wants to kick back, relax and have some fun, by what reasoning are the management and moderators of WebmasterWorld responsible for your social life?

Question 1: What has a thread like this got to do with running a business, and by what criteria would it belong in a forum for people running such a business?
It has nothing to do with running a business. That's why we're asking for Adsense Foo ;)
Question 2: For anyone who wants to kick back, relax and have some fun, by what reasoning are the management and moderators of WebmasterWorld responsible for your social life?
Going to the forums IS our social life. WW exists because of that.
I really can't imagine WW is created for the newbies who want to now where to place ads, or what color to use, or why Ecpm went down by two notches.
That's exactly why there is Foo. For tech topics unrelated to any other topic. In fact, this thread is a foo thread itself...
Brett, this isn't a tech topic. Furthermore we don't care where it's placed. Community center or Foo, it doesn't make a difference. This is all about some of us Adsensers wanting to have a chat with each other. Getting to know fellow members ETC. It's either you're going to provide that place for us or we do it ourselves.
Thank-you for partaking in this thread. As you can probably see, the majority of responses have been from the Adsense/Adwords forum participants. Most of the posts - all be it off-topic - have been relating to previous Adsense posts, jokes and asides. Most of this 300+ thread would have bored the pants off of the foo forum, and in a sense would have spoiled the foo forum, and what it is intended for.
As the Adsene forum - and Adwords forums have such a large and regular audience, do you not feel that by us bombarding the foo forum we would be deemed to be trying to be elitist? (which is not our intent). We just feel that our "asides" and humour need - and dare I say, demand a separate space, so as not to impact on what already exists, but to merely enhance it.
Call me a sycophant - but I'm sure all members that have partaken in this rather lengthy thread, are merely trying to make a point. Baring in mind that the majority of the readers/and partakers in the Adsense and Adwords threads would have had difficulty in finding us, a 300+ thread is not bad going.
I'm sure that you could find a little place within the site for us sad gits to hide out - go on, I know you can do it.....:)

Thank-you for partaking here. We are not, in the main, trying to get away from, or change the adsense/adwords forums. In a way we are trying to focus them, by giving people a place to let off steam. As you rightly say - the forums are there for newbies and pro's alike. The pooling of information and advice is fantastic, and long may it continue. Which is why the problem exists. Small pieces of humour - gentle asides, tapped onto the end of posts were being removed. These asides etc would be out of place and meaningless on the foo, however there is enough of them to make it feasable to create a new arena for them. In this way the newbies and older members who do not wish to partake in this side of us can select not to view.
We were all newbies at one time - you only learn by experience and learning from veteran players. In my opinion all newbies are welcome participants - and from what I see, most of the time their questions, concerns etc are answered.
If you check out the threads answered by most of the people that have parteken in this thread you will see that we all try to offer helpful and useful advice to both newbies and veterans.
