Forum Moderators: open
There are often times when I would like to post a question to get feedback from these people that I feel I have got to know and trust, but feel it is going to be off topic and either pulled or moved to another forum that I do not know or visit.
I have enjoyed the sometimes light relief banter that goes on here - and the sometimes flippant comments that get thrown around - re fridges, and mouse tracking etc. Is there any way that WW could almost put a subforum within a forum? ie "adsense off topic forum" or some such thing? Just a thought.:)
Moderators struggled futilely against popular uprising forcing disciples and administrators, such as were able, to demonstrate fear of Khensu's misunderstood wit & Marcia's humour, not understood by anyone.

I'm thinking maybe us AdSensers need to get out more. You can just about drown in the AdSense forum sometimes. I fixated on AdSense way to much for the first couple of years I was using AdSense. Maybe it would be good for us to go be be foolish in Foo.
Now I always go to the WW homepage first as the highlighted posts keep me up on the rest of the Internet world. So from that homepage I take a look at information from more varied forums. I've also joined the supporters forums where there is less noise and more direct discussions.
Webmasterworld is a community. That community lives throughout the entire set of forums. I salute the spirit of creativity of those that brought up some key points in the thread that their needs were not entirely being met by the current system.
It is funny that I was just reading Guy Kawasakis Art of the Start. One of his top ten rules is to never try to force a product to be only your vision of the product. If your customers, visitors, or members want to make it something else, then get out of the way and let them. His example was the fact that the Mac was intended to dice spreadsheets, create docs in a word pro, and balance a checkbook. They never saw PageMaker and the desktop publishing world happening. While that is true that PageMaker did save the Mac and Apple embraced desktop publishing - that is not to say Apple allowed their customers to dictate and demand that the Mac start coming with 4-8,16 meg of ram. Consequently, we can not do multivariations of foo to give people their own private little world here on WebmasterWorld.
Much of what you guys got going on here is exactly what is going on in Foo today. I invite you to take advantage of those opportunities that are already on the site.
I would also invite you to a PubCon - it will change your entire perception of WebmasterWorld and the community that thrives here.
Thanks
