I'll hopefully be dancing with googlebot on New Years. :) Dirty dancing that is. You know what. Wouldn't it be a wise thing to do for all of us to band together and strategically link each others sites up to increase the likelyhood of a better indexing. Or is it just a pipe dream?

"guys love gadgets", well I am having to much fun in here.. unfortunately I think I have messed up a few things while messing around in here without knowing what I was doing... ok ok.. heres the keys.. I think I caused enough damage inside the control room.. looks like the google team has some work to do before the dance can start..

PS With the dance looking like it will be in full swing New Years eve, how many people here will be glued to their computers? I know I will be out and about enjoying the festivities but am sure I will log on sometime on New Years Day to find a post a couple hundred messages long :)

New Year's Eve? Huh? What? I have a 10 day beard, Chinese take out and 12 cases of empty coke cans littered all over the place. I smoke 5 packs of Pall Malls a day and all I can think about is the Google update. I wasn't even aware it was close to New Year's!

Seriously folks, I am obsessed with finding out how all my hard work this past month has paid off. Admin shut down the last thread on Google Update Obsession, Anticipation and Stress. Hope this one stays cause I needed to vent. I'm probably the only one tho.

time will tell... but I would bet money we will see another dance this year, or hours into the new year... of course I am not a google employee.. but judging by past performance, their will be a dance in the coming days. And hey.. chinese food huh? I have pizza boxes all over, but thats just how I live.. just kidding...

Can anyone tell me what it looks like in my logs what a googlebot or freshbot log looks like? Every is talking about seeing Googlebot and freshbot hitting their sites. How can I tell?

Don't say that Danielo - you'll make me paranoid. Banning will only take place during the update, it's possible what you are seeing is just the normal everflux.

Danielo21, your words made med check the famous Yahoo 632K, and at www2.google.com I at first did not get any result! When I refreshed the 632K were back again. I almost thougt the dance had begun.

The no results on link:yahoo is normal, you have to refresh sometimes (I know cause I'm checking it once an hour :-)

Googlebot update!

I was actually able to step away from my computer for an hour. I had a Carl's Junior Western Bacon Cheeseburger. It was the sickest carcus I'd ever eaten. It's no wonder their company is in termoil. With 3 hours of sleep last night it sure didn't settle well.

Anyways, all this guessing about google is making my stomach turn. With all of this anticipation, I'm going to have to need a box of cleanex and a shoulder to cry on if my site doesn't get updated. We should start a discussion group on "What if you don't get listed?..Your next step to recovery". I know I'll be there.

Everyone else has had a chance to guess so here's one for everyone. My instinct says it will probably happen before midnight tonight. Heck why not. It makes perfect since that they wouldn't want their employee's working tomorrow because of the holiday. Which means they'd have to get an early start this afternoon to finish it before tomorrow. I say it begins at 8:00 Pacific Time. If it happens you can all paypal me a penny for my thoughts and I'll be rich. :)
