Will the downwards spiral continue for some of us? Why do the supposed big earners hardly ever post?

Crappy day today. What gives? The first half of the month was okay, and then I expected Mother's Day to be down, but now it's still down. Should I have paused my Adwords campaign? Would that make any difference? I pay for almost a third of my traffic. The rest is organic or direct. Does it make any difference on the revenue side (CPC or RPM) if I'm paying for clicks to my site? Any insight here would be appreciated.

I gave it a little time before posting to see if there was any trend. It seems my earnings are now upside down

weekdays = way lower
weekend = my normal high earnings

CTRs have been under 1% every day of this month for me. Checked on April 2012 and CTR was over 1% on only 6 days. April 2011 (post-Panda) had ZERO days with >1% CTR but April 2010 had 18. So much for progress :o(

Highest page views and ad requests all month, but dismal earnings and low click count. I no longer understand this program. :-(

Amazing good day yesterday over many sites - as if someone flipped the "Revenue On" switch.

2012 Motherdays prolly must have been expensive - Adwords budgets spend on flowers and chocolate.

Adjusting to the reality of 0.8 % CTR. In the 'ole' days a CTR THIS LOW was very very bad news.

I don't believe that the market can change this suddenly over so many different business areas. So the only options I can see are 1)something in Adsense has changed or 2)something in Adsense is broken.

Either way it's been fubar for long enough that Google really needs to say something. This is seriously damaging the credibility of Adsense. In terms of reputation management any statement would be better than this wall of silence.

That's it...AdSense has gone from my biggest channel and replaced by my own B&M ads...I'm not tolerating this BS any more.

Why? Lowest click day ever and 0.47% CTR...It's totally fubard...for me.

I've gone from USD 300+ per day to USD 15...shareholders beware.

Supply and demand. Too many websites, not enough advertisers. Or there's always the rising theory that Google is skimming money off the top to keep their quarterly reports looking good. If they were there's no way to know since they keep all the important info to themselves.

Google's never going to say anything. And remember, we only hear from the people who are suffering downturns, most of the people who are doing okay don't say anything (or even come here)

Wouldn't we all love to know in which widget sector they are?

Personally I know of several who have suffered precisely the same and no, they don't come here, they do not feel that they could either contribute nor know enough. They have legit, good quality sites and have been absolutely hammered however they have left AdSense running since it now pays for a, yes A, meal out a month whereas it used to pay for annual holidays etc.

One day the truth of this debacle will come out, I hope I am still around to say "I told you so" :-)

Yesterday was bad and today looks no better. Why are the weekends looking good, and weekdays not? It's the complete opposite of the way things used to be for me.

Exactly my case. My earnings used to be very stable, average, just a little bit less on weekends, but now weekends are the solid ones while weekdays are low... my traffic is still solid anyway (I'm having more traffic this year than previously)

Todays clicks haven't budged for the last 4 hours, while impressions climb. I'm hoping for a click dump, but after viewing yesterday's numbers, I won't hold my breath.

I've gone and cursed myself - just after I come out and say I've never had below 1% CTR that I can recall! 0.93% though there's still 50 minutes left in the day, so there's a chance! My page views are normal, but clicks are way, way down, however CPC is extremely good, and earnings better than most days this past week.

I've been stuck for the past 3 hours. Analytics is flying and ads are displaying, but impressions/clicks haven't moved on the Adsense Control Panel.

I'm not sure if it was a typo or my subconscious.

Yesterday ended up good enough to get my fish surgery...from a man named "Ed" out of the trunk of his mint green 1982 Plymouth. He used a plastic "spork". My fish died. I'm over it.

Just a quick check in. I'm sitting mid day at between $1-$2. Understand that my best day(s) are $#*$!. So if anyone can say it's stuck it would save me a bit of inner turmoil. With that said I'm nearing that stage of simply deleting my bookmark to Adsense earnings. This coming from someone who commonly checks hourly. I'm numb now to all this madness quite honestly. I guess I was spoiled with seeing the $5 jumps from each check in. Mid day and $1.xx. Nothing is less satisfying that working on something over time seeing is flourish and see that collapse in a matter on months. Amazing learning experience. For that I'm grateful. Hugs and smiles everyone!
