Will the downwards spiral continue for some of us? Why do the supposed big earners hardly ever post?

Confused? "These questionsóand many othersówill be answered in this month's episode of...AdSense."

That brings about something that happened last week at my end. I got mail from my adwords account - a campaign had been suspended by Adwords because of Ad texts being outside policy. It contained a brandname i was not aware of.

The campaign was out of budget already since 1 year so it wasn't running anyways.

At that moment it didn't occur to me, but auto-suspending campaigns might force Advertisers to rethink their Ad texts, budgets and all that. That takes a bit to get that done, specially if there's new Adowrds stuff.

Weekend was OK, today's CTR seems stuck.

I figured out why earnings have dropped the last few days. We're set to text/image but have gotten about 1/4 the number of image ads we normally do. What would suddenly cause that?

It all backwards for me. My low performing site with little traffic is earning well, and my huge traffic site is doing poorly. The two together are making earnings normal...it's just odd.

Just a reminder that this thread is about AdSense fluctuations only.

Slight recovery on this end seen on all sites, still below average.

As a benchmark, Amazon (CPA) has done well the past week. No clue what happened other than Adwords changes

Today has actually turned into a normal, average earning day, back to its usual self. I don't expect it to last.

Saw this 2 months ago. My impressions dropped. Thought it was just a bleep. Then noticed image ads on my site. I only allow text ads so thought it was strange. All seemed okay with my local files and Adsense settings until I viewed the source code of my homepage and found someone had hijacked my site and replaced my publisher ID with his. Not saying this is what's causing your problem. Just thought to share.

I am quite pleased among the "doom and gloom" here we have some folks experiencing an upturn.

Just me but, long time readers know I'm quite weird.

Lots of clicks from Jordan and Vietnam today, which I don't usually get much of - now have a much higher than normal CTR, though nothing to worry about. A $3.50 click from the US, though last time I got some good value clicks, the day ended badly, so perhaps Adsense will revise that estimate.

I'm a long time lurker, but the current mess has prompted me to post.

Like many people my adsense income has about halved in the last couple of weeks. Clicks just aren't being counted.

I've been with adsense since the start, my sites are all original material that rate well in Google SERPS. Penguin didn't affect me. Most of my traffic comes from the US via Google searches on relevant keyphrases, so I doubt traffic quality is the problem!

And in the middle of the biggest fubar I can remember, what are the Adsense folks working on? An annoying "wizard" to help us through the arduous task of changing our email address.

They really don't get it, do they?

I thought I was going to have a good day yesterday based on how well I was doing early on...then as I checked throughout the day, Google started taking back money, slowly dissolving the income into another mediocre day.

Wonderful.

Yesterday ended well and today looks like it will easily pass yesterday's earnings. But I have thought that before and it didn't happen.

The upward trend continues for both traffic and ePCM. Considering most of my keywords are at the bottom of first page of Google SERP, I expect the trend to continue.

My earnings reached the bottom, lowest earnings in all my years with Adsense (and now I have way more traffic than ever). It makes me laugh and almost makes me cry :)

As I said before, it went to HALF since the last algo change but my traffic shows the same numbers (there were times before panda when I had higher traffic but little conversion). Saturday was the only average day, since then, only LOW days. I mention this because numbers are not always that important, there was a thread where others said the same, having more traffic but same conversion, now I have same traffic but low earnings, lower than ever.

Weird, I'm also seing way low quality ads, even spamming ads "mass mail marketing", something is not right here. Let's hope things get better, may and june are my highest paying months.

Today was set to be my highest earning day in the past six weeks, but I've woken up this morning, and it's only on par with the previous day (which was a fine average earning day, but nothing exceptional).

Below average day again (-30%) with rising "good quality" traffic and better engagement (bounce rate down).

I'm more and more starting to get the impression the Adsense team has lost control over what they've made. FrankenSense!

I think this mess began soon after they introduced the new "shown ads" feature. Maybe the hamsters are getting confused?

I kept seeing a mass mail marketing ad and finally blocked it (should have done it right away). After a couple of very low CTR days, yesterday turned out to be above normal. Coincidence? Perhaps.

@tidewatcher - please provide the ad url for the mail marketing campaign. I'd like to pre-emptively block it from my site (and possibly people are seeing this ad due to their history/interests).

Thanks :)

Yesterday earnings closed up at about 35% of average. Odd that all the clicks were in by about 6:00pm, then nothing.

Doesn't matter, because on the strength of yesterday & today, AdSense is likely to be history on my site tomorrow.
