Google Gift Has Arrived

Doubt that I'm the first, but this is sure early compared to last year when I was sitting in the bathroom feeling all rejected with a razor blade waiting to open a vein if that Google gift didn't show up the day before xmas.....

Just kidding, I use an electric razor, and it showed up :)

Tonight, the knock at the door came and it was the Fedex Santa once again bringing goodies to all the good boys and girls that shoved AdSense in their visitors faces all year long.

Everyone knows I've been naughty, but this gift sure is nice!

The gift specs are as follows:

* 3.6 inch TFT digital photo frame

From what I gather, it's just random.

We push alot of quality traffic through the Google Adsense publisher program and have done so for a fairly long time now on a consistent basis.

Haven't seen no gift here. Not last year at least, or whenever they started to send out christmas goodies. Don't know if it's because I'm located down under or whatever. Not that it really matters.

Google's continued payments to publishers is a gift that's good enough for me. ;)

I'm in the US, don't make 10K a month but more like 1.5K a month, and don't think I've ever seen a google gift. I know I definitely didn't last year, I was all pumped up hearing about it here, and was on the lookup for it. Oh well.

All I want for Christmas is to get fair pay. I've recently enjoyed a perfectly legitimate traffic boost and for a couple of days everything was good. Now that I'm down to normal traffic levels, suddenly I'm giving away adspace at less than a cent per click with an abysmal CTR and that has more than offset the few good days. It's nice that Google courts the big sites, but us small time publishers need some love too. If someone has an idea how to make some money from >10k visits/month to a site with PR from 5 to high 6, all organically grown, I would be interested in that too.

Last year I've been naughty. This year I've behaved slightly better. After joining Adsense for more than 2 years, today is the first time I released payment all because they sent me an email today to let me know about this weird feature called PIN number. Not because I have less than US$100. My intention was to wait until I've accumulated US$10,000.

Last year, while every kid in the neighborhood received Christmas gifts from Santa Googlaus, I received nothing. I looked at them with envy in my heart. This year, I don't think I will receive anything from Santa. Probably he doesn't even know that I exist. I am just a small timer. A nobody in Adsense club.

I have no Adsense toy to show off to other kids this Christmas. I am not asking for expensive toys. A T-shirt with Google logo is enough to make me happy as I will definitely walk all over the place to show it to other kids hoping that I could deceive others into thinking that I am one of those smart Googlers working at Mountainview. :{ Very sad. Cry........

Speaking of lights, I have a couple of those Google pens that light up in a rainbow of colors. Had to buy them myself. Now I can't find ink refills for them anywhere which makes them rather useless. Still, they're fun to play with.

A t-shirt would be good. Real good. XL in case of shrinkage.

I've been with AS since late 2003... I missed the 2003 gift (don't even remember what it was, but I joined late enough in the year that this was not a surprise) but I got the mood radio in 2004 and the mobile USB pack in 2005. Hopefully I'm still on their list for 2006! :-)
