Just kidding, I use an electric razor, and it showed up :)
Tonight, the knock at the door came and it was the Fedex Santa once again bringing goodies to all the good boys and girls that shoved AdSense in their visitors faces all year long.
Everyone knows I've been naughty, but this gift sure is nice!
The gift specs are as follows:
* 3.6 inch TFT digital photo frame
* 960 x 240 TFT screen, 16 mega-color
* Picture: JPG format
* Audio: MP3, WMA, WAV and records WAV itself
* Video: ASF only
* Media: Internal memory and SD card, comes with sample slideshow in memory
* USB 1.1 interface
* Power: 4 AA batteries or USB 5V or AC/DC power adapter
All I can say, in my best Borat accent, is...
"IT'S VERY NIIIIIICE! I LIKE! HIGH 5!"
Thank you Google, well done ;)
Happy Holidays to everyone at Google and especially AdSense Advisor, Matt Cutts, Adam Lasnik, Vanessa Fox, Brian White, Phoebe Ho, or as Santa would call her, Phoebe HO! HO! HO! and if I missed anyone I'm sorry, you'll just have to send me hate mail.
Oh yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all you turkeys too ;)

I understand them, since our customs hold everything on the border, and you have to pay much money to get the darn thing. (something about country getting extra money to pay retired people christmas bonus, and their budget is empty).
for example, one of my affiliates sent me ipod shuffle (70$) that was payed, shipped by fedex (also payed), but darn' customs in croatia want me to pay 100$ to lift the package from customs!
I rejected it, so it went back to affiliate who should pay extra 50$ for shipment (!?). so I beleive he rejected it to,
..and now my nice iPod went for destruction on border...
ABSURD!

make up your mind :) any relevant responses from Croatia earners? I get more than **,***.xx in two months, and have been earner for 12 months, would I normally qualify?
thnks

They should have wrote in it- thank you for letting us ban you and not pay you for two months revenue (3600$ *cry*) :)
I used to like google - but not anymore after being banned with no valid reason, and no way to contact them. YPN all the way- at least they have real support!

It was a nice surprise, but I just can't find an external SD memory card in the package. It's missing! or hiding somewhere?
I emailed to Google support, but they told me to directly talk to the supplier. I checked the invoice(?), but don't know who is the supplier.

I also get the file error message, it seems there are some JPGs it just don't like, I uploaded like 10 and they are slide showing right now.
I've not figured out which one is causing the File error message.
What I have no idea what is for, is a batery icon on the right lower corner of the frame. It is running with the adapter, not in bateries, but it seems that's an indicator to either "Running on batteries" or "Batteries low". Neither is my case.

Search for Google gift + photoframe, no one seems to have got a SD card
when transferring files to the frame (jpg or mp3) I've found you need to put the frame through a power off - power on cycle before it recognizes the new files for display or play.
Thanks Google for my first christmas gift.
* Progressive mode - don't use this, it won't work.
* "Optimize" mode - don't use this, it won't work.
* 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 - only use 4:2:2 mode, 4:4:4 won't work.
* Photo resolution or aspect ratio - doesn't matter.
* File name length - doesn't matter.
* Compress level - doesn't matter.
* Smoothing - doesn't matter.
In Corel Photo-Paint I'm able to directly save JPG files that work with the following settings:
* Progressive: no
* Optimize: no
* Sub: 4:2:2
* Compression: Any
* Smoothing: Any
I was able to get ACDSee to save JPG files that work with the following settings:
* Image Quality: Any
* Progressive: No
* Optimize Huffman Codes: No
* 2:1 Horizontal: Yes
* 2:1 Vertical: Yes
The default encoding used by Windows Paint (there are no options) works fine.
I was *unable* to get Adobe Photoshop CS to save a JPG file that would work on the device. I suspect it is always using 4:4:4 encoding.

To my pleasant surprise, a piece of Google gift arrived at my Malaysian office 2 days ago, and you can see a photo of the Google gift here
<snip>
Who else has received this gift too, in particular, in Asia?

[edit reason] No urls, thanks. See TOS [webmasterworld.com] [/edit]
Shipment was received in Canada.
Ps. Last year's gift is definately the most handy thing to have for someone who travels a lot like myself!
This year, no card yet and no gift. I've made enough last year and this year through Adsense to support two familes, which I do. That is a considerable income stream for Google, due to my efforts, though I know I am not a top earner.
I think the 'no card' yet tells me again I will be processed in the last group. Surely I am at least worthy of a card. Other affiliate partners, that have earned a whole lot less from me, have already sent their exceptionally nice cards and gifts to us.
Perhaps they run out by the time they get to the "S" last names. Oh wait, yours looks like it starts with "T". There goes that theory. :(
My first year with the program they sent a little booklet on 8 tips how to optimize for AdSense. I thought that was a holiday present, but I think now that it was not.
I did get a nice email from AdSense telling me how great they are and all the improvements they've made. Perhaps I'll just think of that as a Holiday Card.
