It seem the backlink update has begun, not surprising after the heavy spidering lately, good luck everyone!

yep - seeing the same pre-bourbon SERPS. Is this just a roll-back, or "everflux"?

same as always. a bit of the usual flux from positions 7 down and that is it.

i am in a dubious sector out there on it's own.

Oops, these DCs seem to be pre bourbon indeed. If this becomes true my site will vanish again after returning with bourbon.

I see them as post Bourbon but still old (maybe the middle of July).

Looks horrible. The site that just re-surfaced is gone in them and a new site on the same subject isn't visible either.

Not exactly ;-)

The said DCs show the latest version of one of my pages which I modified its title tag for few weeks ago.

reseller: jep I can see more recent data too. However most of my serps for the keywords I watch are completely gone.

My site vanished with Allegra in February. After doing a lot of cleaning up and redirecting it came back with bourbon. Now it is gone in these DCs... So this is "pre bourbon state with recent data" for me. Crossing my fingers that these DCs are experimental only.

Needless to say my site is six years old and stuffed with a lot of self written unique useful content.

Those SERPS look outdated to me. Yes, new information can be found there, but it seems that a filter or two is missing.

Results look perfect to me! Any missing filters need to remain missing too. Come on google roll out those pre-Bourbon results!

"64.233.189.104

within a few days you will have to live with those SERPS for few months .I bet on that.

Then that is living with the ranks we already have? No changes for sites that I monitor in about 10 different niche.

This is what I see (in my usual SERPs)for those DCs people are talking about:

In some keywords things remain the same as before

In other keywords, results are exactly those pre-bourbon although caches are new

In summary (and only in the DCs which have changes) my site, which was greatly benefitted in bourbon, is nowhere for some keywords and still ranks great for others

But the weird thing is that SERPs where changed are exactly those pre-bourbon...no Google update has ever gone back to show the same exact results which were shown before a prior update

If those are the new serps then Google has put a filter on three of my important sites. Competitors' spam sites are unaffected.

Some cataclysmic changes on 216.239.53.104 and some other datacenters. Lots of pages lost. Maybe it'll pass, but looks like one of Google's huge data blunders is underway.

Hmmmm, 216.239.53.104 has revived many cached pages from a year ago, for pages that haven't existed.... for a year.

Just when you think Google can't surprise you, this is staggeringly bad data. Most stuff seems undisturbed, but some high quality competitors have dropped 700 spots for internal pages. Have some of those myself.

In contrast, Google-as-the-wayback-machine has hit hyperdrive. If you have ever been copied, or if you have pages you deleted or redirected two years ago, that crap could well all be back.

What the heck is going on at the 'plex? They can't seriously think this is anything but insane.

So, is an update of some sort going on now? I have a pure 100% original content site and have been unrecognized by google for a long time so am looking forward to any news of an update...

I have always wondered why our site continues to have pages with cache dates of Nov 2004, Dec 2004, and Feb 2005. Googlebot has been by to visit these pages many times. Why no update of cache?

Things are definitely bouncing around in my neck of the woods. For one search I just bounced back to #4, behind two sites (plus an indent) that have both copied the content of a federal site about the activity in our location.

Guys I was hoping this update doesnt effect me, I do purely content based optimization not once I tried to gain a link to move up the rankings.

HOwever when I had a look at those ips, my listings are not there its kind of giving me sleepless nights hope this is not true.

Anybody else felt that links got precedence over content in this update.

Might be time to work out a new strategy.

In the Dissatisfied with results report I sent to Google I mentioned exactly that. Cut n Paste plus huge link networks=#1 results. I'm not too worried though. The ones that drop out in the beginning on certain dc's with obviously incomplete results are the ones who end up at the top after an update finishes (at least in my experience).

Good morning Folks

Wish you all a happy Update Brett
"Win this one for the Gipper" ;-)

I give it 5 stars *****

As to this morning, the following DCs (which I had already posted yesterday) are still of much interest:

64.233.189.104

66.102.7.99
66.102.7.104
66.102.7.105
66.102.7.106
66.102.7.147

216.239.63.99
216.239.63.104

Please donīt panic if you canīt find your site within the said DCs. We are still at the early stages of a possible update ;-)

Take care!

I do panic. After checking my serps with a well known tool there are more DCs where I lost SERPS.
