Search for link:http://www.yoursite.com on w2.
The link count at the top of the page is twice the number of links actually shown for your site. I don't think this has anything to do with not showing low PR links. The number is twice the number of results displayed by the search.
At first I got excited, thinking I had a big boost in incoming links. Then I realized that the number was double. On one of my domains, I can count on one hand the number of incoming external links. Yet Google says I have 98 links (and its about a 50 page domain). I don't believe that 50 PR2 and PR1 pages suddenly found me in the last month.
Beachboy, I don't start to believe it (or worry) until the backlinks from the toolbar match what comes up now with link: It's been different but right now I'm seeing the same for the first time today.
I'm getting some upward movement across the board, but what's happening with one site is downright depressing.
Don - But I love wierd.

[webmasterworld.com...]
Gained a few positions, lost a couple. Really irritating that a site that stole code from me, is now positioned 2 above me for that respective KW. Source reveals it is definitely my script, altered just enough to fit their environment. They could have at least credited me, but of course that would be admitting to the theft!
So once I got a hint of what my positioning might be, I did as suggested and spent the day updating and optimizing for the next crawl. Since this one seems to have been rolled back, maybe my updates will be included sooner than I thought. ;) Ok, ok - at least I can wish for it.
I'm pretty new to the search engine game, but does Googles update roll-back often? I was getting some great results and all of a sudden, they're gone :(
In a shocking move today, Internet Search Engine Google updated its results and then changed them back again, causing mass panic and confusion amongst web marketing personel world wide, especially amongst free-loaders, soft liberal sites, American stock market sites and others who cant afford advertising.
A site on the Internet's popular World Wide Web that provides search services, Google provides the most free advertising of any other single company in world history, causing major dependency symptoms and and addictive checking behaviour amongst its users. In Chicago a man was snatched from certain death as a colleague grabbed his collar as he jumped from a 50 story building, yelling its OK! everthing is back to normal. In other offices world wide, corks are being replaced back into champagne bottles. An unnamed Google source was quoted as saying - "We thought we had updated but seeing LazerBubb hadnt confirmed it, we though we had made a mistake so had to revert to the previous results". A class action is being prepared by various webmaster groups citing Google for unreasonable prevarication and causing emotional distress.
Google remained tight-lipped when asked to confirm if they had received a telex from Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir, presently holidaying in Rome two days after resigning and then retracting his resignation one hour later in Kuala Lumpur. The telex allegedly had Mahathir suggesting that he didnt like the new items about him resigning, as the update had co-incided with his resignation and he didnt want to wait a whole lunar month for people to find out he hadn't. He also suggested that changing your mind was a great way to become even more popular.
Key google watcher Nuts and Bolts was last seen in a major downtowm street, disoriented and muttering wildly to himself, having discarded most of his clothing. (Agencies)
