Normally SERPs has already been changed before the backlinks update, but I didn't notice any changes SERPs few days ago! Did you?
But today on www-va.google.com
it actually brings up a pr5 page which has my link on it. Does this mean that my pr has increased to 4.
The toolbar still shows a pr of 2.

And you can open the file named hosts with notepad.
Windows will ask u to choose the program from a list and then just choose notepad
I have a search query that always has 53 listed pages. I use &num=100&filter=0 to display them all on one page.
Today, -va says Displaying 1 to 53 of about 78. That 78 is a miscount. There really are only 53 pages. Really. Just 53. Never 78. Not 78 at sometime in the past. Not 78 now. Not 78 in the future, either.
In fact the number should be going down soon, as the search term is an email address that is being gradually removed from all sites and replaced with an email form instead. Most sites have actually removed the address in the last month, but Google hasn't noticed this yet. It has cached the new pages, but the new page content is not reflected in the search results themselves.

<edit>Hmm, www results just returned 46 matches on this search, so some other datacentre (not -va) has had a SERPs update since yesterday. Looking through I see:
-in, -fi and -cw reports 49 results (the last of which is marked Supplemental and reflects the old page content which has been updated on site and which Google has already indexed and can be found using new search terms for that page), and
-ab -zu and -kr reports 47 (including one supplemental result), and
-ex and -mc with 53, and
-dc with 48 results (including one supplemental result), and
-gv with 46 results (so -gv is the most up to date), and
-sj still not responding.</edit>

Ever noticed that google always says "results x of about y"?
Yeah, I did see it and I edited my post immediately to put the correct full wording in, but the edited post still hasn't been taken by WW even as I write this reply, the other post window still says "loading". Submitting a new reply goes through immediately, edited posts seem to take forever to go through.
