@Sissi I thought the same but it seems like it’s the other way around but Facebook itself pays real good (reels, bonuses).

@MMedi26
My traffic is U.S./global, split about 70/30 in that way. Pretty impossible for me to dig into what they might be seeing especially not knowing which site is the issue.

@MMedi26 US majority, UK, Australia, Canada, are the main ones. Organic around 95% then direct and social/media (very small amount). I have CN, RU, IN blocked at the server level. I only have the one site with Adsense.

CPM bids 100% here, but funny how when I calculate the clicks x CPC, I get the same amount of revenue earned by CPM Bids today, coincidence or one still has something to do with the other?

I wonder if Adsense is gearing towards more social traffic now. Maybe the social traffic comes off as more organic?

Okay my revenue is rising today. Maybe the 100% CPM won’t be that bad?

I can see that Feb 2nd was the official "switch" to CPM, running at 100% now. Feb 1st ran at just a 50/50 split.
Interestingly, the numbers (mainly earnings) reflect pretty much was I saw across January - which wasn't great.

Had CPM all day but about 5% CPC has just crept in at the end, so its not fully switched over yet

@CommandDork @No5needinput
I also received the same warning on January 31st. Regarding limits notice first in 20 years. Isn't it crazy how we got it at the same time?
I asked them what it was about and they listed two units, on two websites. And they can't say anything more except that.
While I can understand that there is a possibility with one unit because of the links that are nearby, I really don't know about the other. I put 'Advertisements' label on both, to avoid confusion (if there is any confusion at all).
In terms of traffic, it is the same as with you in most of the USA, UK, Canada, etc... Traffic from the rest of the world must pass the CF Managed Challenge and the threat score from visitor must pass. If it is greater than 5 CF Managed Challenge must be solved.
btw With auto ads, where ads appear in the craziest places on the website according to Adsense's own choice, sometimes too close to elements on the website, it is difficult for me to understand the need for labeling own units.

Today is starting off similar to yesterday. Facebook traffic is down though which is annoying.

@Sissi,
is that good or bad?

Page RPM is just abysmal.
Looks like I'm now 98% CPM bids, as opposed to 50% last week.

This is quite good, 2 weeks ago I was -53% again Jan 23 The change is stable for the last 8 days

@Sissi,
Glad to hear, gives us not doing so well some hope.

I must admit that the ads are now reflecting the contents of my sites; that was different 10 days ago. Recently I have enhanced the qualiy of the content. No idea of it it s the sole reason.

@Sissi
I'm guessing this is likely due to the death of 3rd party cookies and targeting — and the rise in contextual. For some sites it's going to be great news. For others, it will be a disaster.
If your content is relevant to a high earning ad category, you should be optimisitc.

A probably silly question: if it s 100 % CPM why are the clicks still there does Google add the clicks revenues to the CPM revenued quite confusing
allhearts
9:21 pm on Feb 5, 2024 (gmt 0)
I believe the clicks have a lot to do with the CPM revenue and are tied together somehow, when I calculate the clicks x CPC, I get almost exactly the CPM revenue total.
So higher clicks and higher CPC equals higher CPM revenue and vice versa.

Do you guys see improvements after the switch to CPM bids? It's 100% here as well. Pretty bad, but I hate em for choosing February, which generally sucks.

5 days into the month and not one day hit $100 yet. Very tragic times for Adsense in 2024.

@MayankParmar So far I don't notice any difference at all. Earnings are the same as before.

@dolcevita today my RPM is around $5. CPC is .25 and my page views are around 5k at the moment. Not even $30 yet today with these numbers. Over 100 clicks too. The new Adsense system just seems very scammy lately.
