Thought I'd kick off the thread this month just to prove I'm still here ;)

Fantastic September, but the first day of October has been one of my worst in a long, long time! I'm sure it will turn around as the month progresses.

Oct 1 earnings closed at 90% of average. Hope the rest of the month is as good or better!

Saturday was 70% of September's average with a much, much lower than average EPC at 75.6%.

Quite unbelievably and for the first time ever I did not have a single click from the UK plus the lowest UK page impressions day at 33.8% ... If it was a data loss day I'm glad it was done on a Saturday!

October is looking like a step backward for me. Lost 60% of earnings around April 10th and was making tiny gains. Got my site back to about 55% - but these last few little panda tweakies just knock me right back down. Whatever happened this past week has knocked me back to April 10th again. Any gains have been lost and then some.
I want to just walk away and give up - but fighting this beast is better than a 9-5 beast. (Right now!)

Didnt get chance post in septembers thread. Best september in a forever. Compared to a year ago...200%. Last day of october recorded the highest single day for me...high 3 digit earnings.

For october first day compared to september is about 30% higher. Even thoigh trsffic is fluctuating alot. On smart phone sorry for typos.

Knocks on wood.

Things finally turned around for me Sept 18-29th and everything was awesome those days, after months of everything sucking. Now things are back to where they had been post-Panda. UGHHH. I don't know if it was just some huge fluke where tons of new advertisers came on board for those 11 days, or if it's all about search engine changes/Panda changes. eCPM is down to half of what it had been when things were going right. My hope is once again gone.

What a horrible Sunday EPC at 67.4%, clicks, CTR etc all normal.

I was going to put this down to lazy advertisers not at work when a month starts on a weekend...hopefully!

BUT I have to write once again that the UK's performance was absolutely abysmal...I don't like looking at the Performance > Country charts when they read like this, earnings from India were as much!

Terrible first day, fantastic second day, and unless my earnings get revised, today is shaping up to be possibly my best day ever.

@azlinda - I've had lower on stat loss days!

So, my 3rd quarter ended Friday night, I was hit in the middle of the 2nd quarter with Panda 2.1, my biggest site shows Q3 v Q1 with 59% of pages & 58.7% uniques.

Hmmm...now I'm really thinking of getting out of this stupid game (it's no longer a business), what's the point when someone turns a dial or flicks a switch and screws one over for doing nothing wrong?

PM me job offers :-)

That's only a joke mods!

So far, things are looking just as bad as Sept. I'm making more off my adsense ads on my YouTube videos, which is pathetic earnings, yet CTR is at least above 0.5%.

CTR ZERO + eCPM ZERO + Impressions 3429 = WTF! Going back to checking today's stats tomorrow.

Start of October is a disaster. September was way better. CTR is down the drain. It's horrendous for a Monday, earnings are way down. Looks like all the hard work isn't doing much. What do you think could be the problem guys?

Husky, after being in the program since alpha and having dedicated reps and a showcased site I threw in the towel and got out around 4 months ago and as in the words of the oompa loompa

"life has never been sweeter" :)

Seriously, quitting while your ahead isnt the same thing as quitting.

If that might help you guys, I discovered something today in my account. As some of you already know, Google +1 has been automatically enabled since the beginning of October in AdSense. I don't know if this has an impact on CTR and earnings yet but aside from that, what I've noticed is my Interest-based Ads option has been enabled by itself. It was previously disabled. I know from past experience that enabling it resulted in lower CTR and earnings for me. Maybe you guys should check that out. I don't think it's a coincidence most of us are experiencing such a slow start for October.

My little mini-content farm (and yes, it is a content farm) is old with really strong backlinks. Adsense earnings continue to climb, roughly 10% over last month. Could be a statistical anomoly since I'm only in the low $nnn earnings with adsense, however it seems to be in an upward trend over the last months.

normal amount of clicks but pathetic ecpm...

same here.

I usually never post here because I never needed to. But definately a downward trend in eCPM during the last 3 weeks. The last 2 days i've had my worst eCPM's in years.

anything alarming happening out there we need to know about... ?

I sooo wish we had representatives (AdSense) we could talk to , to ask what's going on. I'm at 50% of where I was a month ago. (eCPM wise) major impact on business.

There used to be an AdSense Advisor around here somewhere until Google started with this Panda debacle.

Last ASA post was just over 5 months ago on April 28th 2011.

(S)he probably did a runner when (s)he found out that Panda 2.1 was going to be released a week later!

"anything alarming happening out there we need to know about... ?"

Yep, Panda 2.5 which hit on Sept 28th. My numbers are way down since then. Very upsetting as things had been getting progressively better following the Panda update on July 22nd. So it goes...

Absolutely horrendous today. (very, very bad)

Anybody know if this is typically a period where "Advertisers" take off ? It's as if everybody pulled out.
