October 2011 AdSense Earnings & Observations

Thought I'd kick off the thread this month just to prove I'm still here ;)

Unbelievable. Had to go all the way back to my first two weeks with AdSense in 2004 to find earnings as low as yesterday. Guess anything is possible, but statistically it seems pretty remote that the numbers reported are accurate to what's going on anymore. :-(

Looking at my "Entire account by day" report for October, there's a considerable drop in Page CTR, CPC, and Page RPM for the 25th and 26th. Anybody else?

So low for me that I'm about to reconsider the whole internet gig. Truth. Am I getting the biggest F over from Google this month. It's crazy. I want to believe there is an error, but on the other hand, I didn't want to believe my awstats lately either. Horrible.

Yep, Tuesday 25th was way out of kilter for me, usually it's my best AdSense day of the week however this one was one of the worst days of the entire month at about 78% of average.

And my hamsters haven't even woken up today!

Tuesday wasn't as good for me as it has been. Tuesdays have been performing better than mondays, but not this week. However, yesterday more than made up for it.

after the may day effect in 2010 i am getting lesser visitors each month and lesser earnings. now from oct 20th. it is worst.

After yesterday's abysmal day, today shows a lot more promise, but even a huge boost towards the end of the month isn't going to recover my October as a whole.

It's going pretty mental now. Either there's a problem, or Adsense is saying, sorry for yesterday's dismal earnings, please allow us to correct things, by giving you a beyond excellent Thursday.

Winding down, but overall I'm pretty happy with this October (compared to last). There were a couple of goofily low days that defy explanation, but it's up over last year.

funny thing happened today, very unusual in my experience.
My earnings dropped more than 10% compared to 1 hour earlier.
Now back up to initial amount.
I have heard about this before, but it is the first time i see it in my account.
Earnings still through the roof overall, already 20% higher than last months all time high

My clicks are well and truly stuck with 1 click from the UK and 4 from the USA...obviously CTR and eCPM extremely low.

Horrid. Targeting again is way, way off so no surprise people aren't clicking. Either there are hardly any advertisers left in my niche or AdSense has messed up the routing big time. Either way, not a good sign. :-(

Somehow AdSense dragged its sorry ass up to 70% yesterday, my daily earnings graph this week looks like the Himalayas, rollercoasters are nowhere in it! I've never experienced a spread like this before.

So far average for me. But I disabled one ad network yesterday....waiting to see what happens to my earnings...

Wow.... is anyone showing a major downward turn today? It's WAY off for me. Complete nose dive. Maybe they are working on stuff again and clicks aren't being recorded or something. I am hoping.

I'm continuing downwards from yesterday, CTR and eCPM now at 50% of the month's average and earnings half of what I'd normally see at this time of day. I have one specific channel showing in excess of 1,000+ impressions and it's zero across the board...borked!

Terrible Wednesday, amazing Thursday, and unless there's a big turn around, looks like Friday is going to be another awful day. Totally, totally inconsistent. My Adsense earnings, were almost as predictable as the sun rising and sun setting. Now it's about as predictable as the UK weather.

yesterday somewhat picked up in the end: above usual earnings, but lowest this month.

Yesterday earnings down again under 30%. October has not been a good AdSense month at all. Looking forward to November.

Another unspectacular day from Adsense. Historically I've usually found an improvement in the run up to Christmas. October will earn me more than earnings in Jan-May of this year, but down on Jun-Sept, so brings an end to my upward trend (no rhyme intended).
