I just move my mouse pointer over the "cache" links and look at the bottom of the brower to see what the ip address is

"These sites are still showing the ordering I noticed last night (Steveb - you said for a while they did not?)"

Dayo- I saw the same thing, it started about 5pm EST and returned back to what you posted about 7PM EST

On a side note, on a normal google search, I have not seen any movement for the past day on the term I am searching for, I noticed that during the live flux over the past week that the results were 48,000,000 and today its 44,000,000 and every DC that i see is showing that it is 44,000,000.

Do you have any idea why J1 and J2 would have 4 million extra results for a keyword, but during what I think is the tail end of J2 flux, it decreased?

I can only assume that indexing may have been rolled back, but to what extent I do not know.

For the majority of DC's and the one keyword I am using as a gauge things seem like they were before September 22, but I beleive it's got that "twist that someone else pointed out".

I almost wonder if a rollback was necessary because the large increace in the index was causing too many issues and they are repushing it out in smaller scales to gauge resutls internally. This could explain the 4 million difference in results?

Either way, any input on that would be great.

This may give you some hope....

My site, like yours, top 5 for 4 years on many phrases. Then, 10 days ago we dropped to 45th 'ish on most keywords. Now we have recovered on most of the dc's showing on [mcdar.net...] with .99 clicked.

Not all phrases have recovered, they bounce around. Select a chunk of text from your site and do a search without quotes. Does it appear in the top positions? Hopefully not, because that is the pattern for a site that will recover. You may find that some searches for your title text will be OK, watch your stats. If you are not appearing for large chunks of text, then this suggests to me that you are in flux while something is going on. This can happen to most pages of a site, then slowly they come back, one by one. Looking at your site (s-o) my guess is that you are in flux. Good luck.

66.249.87.104 & 66.249.87.99 shows me at 39th

sorry if I hogging this thread as something like this has never happened before

i am pretty sure that we see serps on these dcs according to the old cache-date on 66.102.11.99/ 66.102.9.99 (sept), so this would be an "ancient-jagger"-rollback. as i remind, the results on these DCs are nearly the same as 2 months ago. can anyone confirm that?

tigger - me too - my site has dropped signficantly in those DCs. over the past couple of days there were a few DCs which were starting to look promising but they have now been replaced with those horrible (in my opinion) results

I can not confirm that, but I see some things that would point to that, however, I also see some things post jagger.

It seems like a roll back to me with a twist.

MHes

sorry bud, you've lost me with this a bit. I copied a sentence from the index page of my site and fed it to G and it pulls us up at 42 out of 266 sites is this good or bad?

MHes - I just tried what you suggested with a selection of text from my site and I couldn't find the pages anywhere in all DCs using Mcdar - does this mean it is a good sign?

66.102.9.104 shows new results for me.

A step back from Jagger2 though. For instance, one site that was back with Jagger2 has now dissapeared again and my site has an inner page on page 2 which has never happened before.

I think these serps are the direction we are going but there is some change to come yet.

Where are GG / MC?

I'm still waiting for those fat men to sing.

This update seems to be working on a site basis, rather than an overall DC basis. In other words, people will suddenly see their site drop while others are OK. Hence all the posts saying I see no difference or others saying "I see new results...". Overall algo's are not changing, just the index data for individual sites. For a while, we had no 'body text' indexed properly, just titles and anchor text, hence we only ranked for those. Then we started ranking for long search phrases found in our body text.

This results in old Jag2 and perhaps new Jag3 getting mixed together, as they slowly uppdate. DC's are all at different stages of this 'mix'.

I think the reality is that as new data is poured into the DC's, only a few people will be effected, whatever DC you are looking at. The pattern is, when it is your turn, that you drop like a stone while the portion of data that effects you is being processed. You can watch as slowly pages kick back in on one DC and then these also appear elsewhere. You can be out for 10 days but for all those who were getting top rankings in September, I think you will recover, as this update is not making significant algo changes, just a total revamp of the indexed data.

The current LIVE serps is a real boost for many sites that never had it so good. I think this will change and more familiar serps will return.

Reseller - There's a prediction for you :)

lee_sufc Yes, I think thats a good sign.

Tigger - I think you are following the same pattern as us. Its your turn to sweat for a while! You will recover, I cannot believe that you have been suddenly penalised, and I don't think your site should be suddenly so unworthy when it ranked well before. As someone else said, small changes are a worry, big ones are a blip.

MHes, good analysis and prediction ;-)

I tend to agree with you. We were pounded at the beginning but have now appeared again (albeit at a lower ranking). Like you say, more familiar serps will probably return - but hopefully without the spam.

"Where are GG / MC?"

Waiting to say something when there is something to say.

When Jagger3 finally emerges, we'll hear something, and get the feedback requests, etc.

I hope you guys are right because it looks like its been my turn since the beginning. However, The majority of the DC are showing promise, but I am not willing to accept it until it is live.

30 days of organic stress does that to me. :P

I tried what you suggested and it looks good if that is the case.

Something already emerged.

My traffic is GONE as of this morning.

And new sites I created in October are ranking on the www.google.com, so something happened already.

Yes, you are correct. J2 is now on all DC's, except for the 4 with the "J3" results.
