I wish the new interface for adding an ad group had a wider window for inputting keywords. Lots of what I put in is wider than that window. It's a real hassle to deal with. A taller window would help a bit, too.
It might be helpful to us if you could tell us if the reason these often mentioned things are not implemented, is because Google things they are bad ideas, or that it is technically difficult to implement, or some other reason not apparent to us. The answers you provide may send us in a different direction to accomplish what we are hoping to accomplish. Thanks for your help.
Jim2003, I am very fortunate to be in a position here on WebmasterWorld to collect feedback, and put it in front of the right teams - which I do with real success. This feedback is highly valued by AdWords teams, and taken very seriously. Over time, lots of ideas suggested in this Forum (and elsewhere) have been implemented - and others are certain to follow.
That said, I am never able to comment on future plans for the AdWords program - and thus am not in a position to comment on the status of past requests. I do understand the potential for uncertainty or frustration inherent in this, but please know that feedback from this Forum carries real weight.

If Google likes us to help our customers to spend more, they need to make sure we can get in Adwords first :)
2) Email notification of invoices!

I would find it very useful to see if my hot and sexy new add were approved.
(posted in a separate thread coz I could not find this thread - sorry. Now here for completeness)
I suggest something like:
keyword ** maxCPC ** www.trackingURL.com?id=12345&source={ifcontent:AdwordsContent}{ifsearch:AdwordsSearch}&adcopy={adID}
This way we could track keyword and ad performance in means of RoI, sales, revenue, ...
Ability to modify CPCs (of a particular group) by x%.
This tool already exists, it is in Tools > Find and Edit Max CPCs > radio button Ad Group Max CPCs. Change Max CPCs for entire Ad Group(s)
Type the Campaign name, then choose the % you want to raise or lower it by...just keep in mind 50% increase is actually existing bid time 1.50 (150%)

AWA, the feature I want is more Campaigns...come on now...how much more taxing on you system is it if I have 25 campaigns, with 100 adgroups, with 1000 keywords (2,500,000 keywords) or if I have 100 campaigns, with 25 adgroups with 1000 keywords (2,500,000 keywords). If this is a one off service for your premium level advertisors let me know. Right now the only work around is creating numerous accounts and linking them, It is much harder to manage on our end though.
Another nice feature would be adgroup geo-targeting settings (or see above). The way it is now with campaign limitations it is impossible to create unique ad copy for each state when geo-targeting within a single account, you would need 3 accounts 25 states, 25 states, washington dc...
Please make it easier for us to spend money with you (c;
If Google could add long/lat data to Google Maps, and then show an actual map of the targeting region just to make sure that their numbers and mine are lining up, it would be a nice QC. Google already has the technology built, just a matter of someone from the maps dpt writing the app for it.
Right now, one can enter 3-4 data points, but Google doesn't then tell you (or show a map) of exactly where it thinks you're targeting. This would be very useful information.
An indication at the campaign summary level that all is not well in a campaign. Now you have to drill right down into an adgroup before you find that certain keywords are inactive. A symbol on the campaign summary page and a matching symbol on the adgroup page beside the adgroup with the problem would help.

Agreed!
I have been lobbying for the very same thing, eWhisper. Thanks for providing me with an excellent quote from just the right source, in support of that pursuit!

I have numerous accounts that have many campaigns in each, pretty much maxed out. I would like to create a new account for many of the campaigns, so that I can neatly organize them into more adgroups and campaigns and expand into new areas that would be too hard to organize at just the adgroup level. (does this make sense? I ran out of room to grow in a single account, and need to branch existing accounts into seperate).
As we have been told, CTR history has much to do with your new top secret ranking algo *cough cough*, anyhow if I start a new account I have zero history, I have been told by others on WebmasterWorld that I can link accounts and associate history, my top level rep says otherwise.
I would like an easy way to move campaign history over to a new account! If this exists, please teach your senior level account managers (c:, if not please create a tool that allows you to select campaigns, then "move to new account".
I'd like to see Google Adwords provide 'Masterclasses' of some description for us small time punters (how selfish!). I'd like for Google to actually come out of the ether and every now and again give a physical helping hand - a bit of guidance and support.
The interface and the plethora of tools is one thing, however, for probably the majority of us 'bottom feeders' adwords - and online advertising per-se - is just a small part of our day.
This forum is superb in terms of providing wonderful insight, information, opinion and general advice, however, it can't directly help me with my campaigns. Every now and again I need someone with more than my limited understanding of adwords to advise me on what I should be doing next - in practice, not theory.
How do I know whether I'm getting the best out of our budget? What tweaks could I make to help improve performance? Could a simple change of a word or two in my ad copy really make a difference? What other options should I be considering? What changes to our sites might increase conversions?
Trial and error, you say? Come on; like many small punters, adwords is a responsibility heaped on to me in addition to my 'real' job. I just don't have the time for testing, testing, testing!
The theory of "How to Maximise Your Returns From Google Adwords" is wonderful, and I like to think that my aforementioned limited understanding of this theory isn't that bad - however - I'll bet it could be an awful lot better.
I'm sure there are many people in my position; who - every now and again - would just like to receive a little bit of direct support or help.
Our advertising budgets are small - and unfortunately so are the resources we can afford to give in order to get the most out of an increasingly complex system. Economies of scale dictate that, as a customer, I can only justify so much additional time in trying to fully understand this system that even those experts here, working at it full time, still struggle to master completely.
Occasional masterclasses for us minnows; a once a year personal account review, perhaps. Just something to give us the belief that the time, effort and money we invest is - beyond a CTR - worth buying in to.
The more returns we small punters can make from this method of online promotion the more we're likely to spend in the longer term.
Just my tuppence ha'penny - for what it's worth.
