Continued from [webmasterworld.com...]

I wish the new interface for adding an ad group had a wider window for inputting keywords. Lots of what I put in is wider than that window. It's a real hassle to deal with. A taller window would help a bit, too.

Have a nice holiday AWA!

Thanks very much HitProf. It was quite nice in fact. And perhaps best of all my car didn't even (nearly) catch on fire like the last time I drove to the old homestead. ;)

Thanks also to everyone for the latest ideas, which I'll soon be pasting into the Advertiser Feedback Report. ;)

The Wiki thing would be a great idea - there are lots of places (at the Campaign, Ad Group and Ad level) where I'd like to be able to leave myself notes, if only noting the last date that I changed/checked things (I know, it's in the Tool section, but with as many accounts and campaigns as I have running now, it'd be nicer to have it right there on the page with the campaigns and ad groups etc.)

I'd second the request for a notes function, except I suggested the same thing a year or two ago.

It would be especially handy with multiple people using the same account.

the notes idea is brilliant. right now i keep a binder with notes on my adgroups and it is a hassle organizing everything. just a little "leave yourself a note" function would be fantastic. also, searching for notes would be excellent.

for example, an advertiser could mark a set of adgroups with a "activate for christmas" tag, then you would search for all the adgroups with "christmas" in the notes, and a list would be generated.

great idea!

ok cline, you can have the credit ;)

allow us to bid $.00 for content bids so that we can effectively pause the content network at the adgroup level.

Who knows if this has been suggested before... too many posts to persue through...

Keyword Filtering:

Filtering options include clicks, impressions, CTR, Max CPC, etc. - please add "Minimum CPC Max".

This way, we can filter by and activate "Inactive for Search" keywords where the Min CPC is within an acceptable range.

I desperately miss "exclude" in the keyword tool (next to add).

The new tool to copy text ads from one adgroup to another is great. I wish it could copy image ads, too.

An easier way to highlight, say, 220 keywords. Viewing only 100 is too few (to highlight 'em all), 500 is too many... and my finger is sore from all the box clicking.

Perhaps, some mouse drag-over highlight feature would be cool.

On the Find and Edit Max CPCs tool, allow one to select a range of bids to edit. For example, between $0.20 and $0.40.

Hi everyone :)

My first post to WebmasterWorld :)

One feature I'd love to see on Adwords, and one that I'm sure would save the time of many of us, is the ability to add "ads" that would be automatically inserted into each Ad group.

I'm a fanatic at having a ton of tightly grouped keywords in my ad groups, and if I want to add another ad to split test, I have to add them to each and every ad group, which is a big pain. I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but I'm eagerly awaiting this to be implemented :)

Best wishes all,
Azhar

P.S. This forum rocks!

Here are my features I would like to see:

[1] Pause an Ad. Lets say you have an Ad, but want to pause it to run a special promotion, and then come back to your standard ad later. This would be VERY useful.

[2] Move a keyword from one ad group to another. This is a bit tricky, but lets say you have a well performing word and don't want to lose your well earned position and CTR history. But you want to crack out a couple of keywords to their own laser focused ad group. This is where some way of moving them with their history would be useful. Otherwise, I fear you would be starting over.

[3] Allow the content area to have its own Ad. That way you can target your content differently (and maybe with some tracking info).

I'd like different colors for Max CPC default values and fixed prices.

Ability to analyze content network conversion data by what site the clicks came from.

Ability to edit an ad without deleting it completely. Perhaps only delete the ad if the URL changes, rather than just fixing a typo or something within the description.

Thanks everyone, for the latest ideas/suggestions/wishes. The Advertiser Feedback Report is taking a vacation for the next two weeks, but I guarantee that all the newest suggestions will make their way into the next report in early January.

As always, thank for keeping this thread alive, through 5 iterations so far!

I'll certainly include this in the advertiser feedback report later tonight, Kings on steeds.

Any other additions to this thread from anyone? I'll be sending the report out in about 8 hours, so there is still plenty of time. ;)
