As far as www, www2, www3, what exactly are these and how do you search those results?
Thanks, WFN

www.google.com - picks results from a number of different Google datacenters
www2.google.com - normally points at one specific datacenter
www3.google.com - normally points at one specific datacenter

You can just enter these URLs into your web browser and search Google as normal. You can also check each datacenter directly by going to URLs like www-sj.google.com (I won't list all the current ones - there are numerous posts with them in)

Google barely updates anymore, are they trying to loose there dominance, are there any peple in the google plex?.

Did you ever think of 'people' at the GooglePlex ;))

If we will have 'classic' updates anymore, or if we've changed to a continuous update isn't clear so far.

Sígns go for a continuous update, though.

And don't worry about their dominance - concerning updates, at least.

Starting to see some sporadic dropping of index pages again (even on www). Yesterday was "widget", today "widgets".

Esmeralda's not over! Directory hasn't been updated and this crazy twilight zone stuff is still going on.

Ugh!

Google has been in continuous update mode for many weeks. A search for "Anytown Widget Place" has slowly increased the number of results from the mid 90s to the mid 170s over the last 2 months, going up by 4 to 6 results extra in the list every few days. The datacentres vary by 3 or 4 in the number reported at any one time, but the general trend is usually upwards. There was one period where there was a sudden drop of 10% or more though, but restored a few days later.
