Initial results from search.yahoo.com are google and overture and you have to click on a "Directory" link to get directory search results.
You get :
Search in: The Web ¦ Directory ¦ News
By default, the search results are from "the web"?
Those results look like they are from google
If you click on Directory, you will get results from within the Yahoo! directory
But no more mention about google..
it's only from search.yahoo.com
I think the relation between the two is over..
Can you believe I just said that? Yahoo is delivering a cleaner SERP than GOOGLE.
Does anyone know whether this will also affect yahoo.co.uk?
Well I lost the #1 spot on Yahoo for one of my sites but got #2 for another in exchange (different category) so the "don't put all your eggs" has it's merits.

They have changed everything.
No more Yahoo! searches (directory searches) by default.
What a load... just scored some nice, new listings in the last few weeks. So the value of a $299 listing is now what?

except for the sites that are not listed in the yahoo directory, those appear also (in Google order) but without a Yahoo des & title.
You also need to be like the 1st ones in the directory to expect traffic now.
If not, well, you will have to have a good ranking in that third pary search results provider.. lol

I'm now wondering if this may also drive overture bids higher ...
So much for not putting all of you eggs in one basket. Google is now like one of those russian dolls that you open and out pops a seemingly endless supply of smaller dolls.

Are you saying everything is Overture (top and bottom) and Google for results. And the Google results have Y! descriptions/titles for sites that are in the directory? This is what I saw when I looked at someone's screenshot too, but I can not see it myself.
I was seeing the new results, then on more recent queries it went back. Clearing cookies had no effect, so I think that they are either still testing (doubtful) or having migrated on all servers yet.
I'm really worried. We were riding high on Google, then had a weekend outage and appeared to get penalized by an average of 2 pages. We were still rocking Yahoo (all our sites are PR7 or PR8), but no more.
Good thing that I didn't buy that new car that I wanted.

What I have noticed is that if I search for a URL it defaults to Web Pages. But if I just search for a word I get thet regular Web Sites results.
That's exactly what I'm seeing, with ALL references to search results being provided by Google gone.
