In the latest video from Matt Cutts, he goes on to describe how authorship profiles will be strengthened by use of rel="author". There have been so many signals coming out of Google over authorship signals that there should now be no scepticism over the employment of rel=ĒauthorĒ and that if youíre serious about your articles, a profile of good standing can only benefit your work.

Itís the quality signals that interest Google, and that means they will get that boost thatís been talked about for some time.

Those of us that want privacy are now going to find new ways to keep up ours siteís profile, or to comply and accept itís now part of the Google ecosystem.

One thing is sure, itís here and itís going to force more activity on G+.

Watch the Mattís video in our thread on the topic.

Yandex announced an interesting development of interactive snippets or "islands" to its SERPs. Yandex said, "Importantly though, the launch of Islands does not mean Yandex will decide what information appears on the search page; that will be determined by the website owner who will be able to choose whether he or she wants to include interactive snippets, and if so, what they should look like. Yandex has also been working with a number of web developers to create the toolset."Yandex

Google added image extensions to AdWords for search. It's a beta program now being opened up to a wider audience. Here's what the image extensions might look like.
